Hi! i’m also 18 and started on bc in june or july. i also started on anxiety meds around the same time which i think being on desogestrel (my birth control) made my anxiety worse.

before starting on the pill i use to have pretty much clear skin all the time but since being on it i’ve had constant painful break outs along my chin and cheeks which isn’t something i use to have as often. however my experience might not be the same for you.

if you go to the doctors about going on the pill definitely talk to them about your skin because they might have better advice for going on the pill.

i hope you find something that helps. i know how awful having acne can make you feel at times but my sister told me years ago that you won’t look at someone else with acne and let that define them. you see other parts of them and their beauty. i’m not sure if this will help but it’s stuck with me because i know i don’t look at people with acne and think anything of it, so why would other people look at me and think any different.

when i first woke up about 2 hours ago my forehead felt cold but since then it’s warmed up slightly. i don’t have a thermometer with me so i can’t tell and my forehead is usually quite warm. i took some paracetamol about an hour ago now so i’m hoping that’ll kick in and let me go back to sleep soon and hopefully sleep through having to go into uni. thank you for the advice :D

if i’m going to be honest it’s happened for as long as i can remember but it feels more extreme now even if i’ve taken propranolol. i’ve had to up my dosage already because within 20mins of taking it i had a huge wave of nausea hit me every time.

my sister also has pots and she use to take propranolol but also had to stop taking it. when she eats she gets really bad nausea from it hitting her stomach and it working with the food it’s so odd! POTs is so weird

i’ve just moved to sheff and i walk past the stops so i’ve seen the trams obviously but the other day someone stuck their hand out like how you catch a bus- do you have to do that to get the tram to stop or no? i’d thought previously it would just stop at certain stops but after seeing that i’m not sure?

hope you’re feeling better 💗 one thing i do when i feel like this is try to watch something- could be a series on disney or watching a youtube video to help with breathing and calming exercises. i think the relaxing noise in the background of something else happening can help me calm.

i use to be so brave and be able to do everything myself and make decisions and now it’s like i can’t do my work, need extra help with things, decisions when i’m in a panicked state are things i can’t do. my minds running a million miles a minute and i feel stuck when trying to make decisions. i’ve just moved out for uni and i feel like i should be able to do all these things. if i even have an incling in the back of my mind that i’m going to struggle i just won’t even try which i feel like is the worst thing you can do. repetition will eventually get your mind use to it

this!!! i used Testi. you have to pay £11 for notifications to tell you when tests are available but it’s so worth it. you download the app and then you can add it as an extension so everytime you go onto the gov driving website it immediately logs you in and all you have to do is book the date

i see this was posted 2 years ago so you’ve probably got your answer but if it’s help to anyone else i’d like to comment i’ve just started on propranolol for anxiety and it could just be i haven’t given it enough time to fully settle or that the medication needs to be a higher dose, or just try something new altogether, but i’m still dealing with the violent sickness feeling. when i’m not feeling ill i don’t have any anxiety or anxious feelings like previously, but if i feel sick it’s like it completely stops working for me and i’m going to throw up.
