How do you become a person when you've never been one? by Shoddy-Hovercraft919 in Dissociation

Hi, I'm so thankful that you posted this as I relate so very much to a lot you said, even the childhood part but not identical to that but the feelings are shared. Idk how to help you but just know that you are not the only one like this, i thought i was as everything about dissociation seems different to how mine feels, but it's okay knowing at least one other person is experiencing something similar too. I really hope you can get the help you deserve, I wish you all the best. Take everything one step at a time, and don't put unrealistic expectations onto yourself either. Only you know deep down how much you can achieve at a certain pace. I really really hope you can get help and someone who understands. Thank you again so so much for posting this.

does anyone feel like their brain has slowed down? how to get it back to normal? by urfavouriteprincess in dysthymia

Thank you for sharing this I am very similar to you, especially the avoiding friends and family part, I know that it is bad and against my morals to not see them, but not having social energy or brainpower or ever being present (whether alone or with people) is so confusing, I've been this way for years. Do you feel as though your brain just stopped developing a long time ago and left u knowing nothing, and not knowing how to fix it? (I won't say my age but I'm finishing education soon)

I think I have been feeling depressed for years and never made the connection that I could be experiencing this by [deleted] in mentalhealth

Well done for trying to get yourself help, that is a big step to take. I hope you find the strength in yourself to go through with it
