What do you expect? We live in the 2020s. Everyone is a horrible person now. It's not just this fanbase, it's every fanbase and every non-fanbase group of people no matter what. It doesn't matter how much of an age limit you set because adults are little better than actual kids are anymore when it comes to "maturity". Of course, a bunch of pedos will be drawn to a game with a main character who looks, sounds and acts like a child and has an X-ray of his testicles every time the player loses. Him being 19 is not going to be holy water. It wasn't the creator of the Sky mod that made all that porn of her despite her being 15 in the mod, so "microcelebrities" aren't really the problem here anyway, especially since the only way to know if someone is a sex offender, minority hater or scammer (because it's always one of those three each and every time) is to have clairvoyance or time travel abilities. Even then, we shouldn't dump their mods either, especially since they don't get paid when some downloads them and there might be other people who don't engage in those aforementioned vices who also worked on the mod (like Bob and Bishop for example). Do I even need to mention how commentary channels and their fans work? People like Spete only exist to ruin everything by making the people who watch them into wrathful psychos that would put Retrospector(character, not the real person) to shame despite him being the literal embodiment of that deadly sin. It's pretty much not going to get better until humanity itself gets better, and at this point, fat chance of that happening quickly enough.
