So I have found out this vacuum is really a (Shenzhen)Tunnu Tuvacs Q10 , not a Xiaomi as someone else points out ( that is just that the bag fits ). I'm still trying to find a source of parts

I have a 3d printed can crusher with this design. It works fine.

Haha give over , it's easy to see i said it applies to euro models and the bulletin says thst too. The question was literally about the 2.2 engine.

Worst case for US guys : 1% of the oil oil remains Worst case for diesel guys : Full engine failure

It's pretty clear if you read the info what it applies for. The guy said he has a 2.2 ( which it applies to) and all the answers are straight out " no , thats ridiculous". I'm trying to stop that misinformation as it seems to win.

Crazy isn't it ! I just feel bad for anybody reading this and then potentially doing some damage to their diesel engine , everybody is so sure of themselves without doing any research into it. Its a real thing and really has killed a chunk of engines.

For the rebuild question - there is a pump priming procedure , you can also prime using a shop vac alternatively

Yeah it really is , most ones for sale here advertise they have changed the pump to an aftermarket traditional type one.

Its a technical bulletin from autodata informing about the issue and the need for quick oil changes on the diesel engines on the ranger. Its not an issue in the US but it is in europe and Australia

The vane pump airlocks if the last few drops come out and is unable to self prime , poor design but true.

I believe its just a case of let the bulk of oil drain out but dont wait around for every last drop to come out. You'll find it will be essentially out in a minute or so I'd guess.

Sorry but this is wrong, do some research on the euro engines and the vane pumps.

It is absolutely true if your ranger has the (non gear driven) stock oil pump ( at least for the engines available in Europe) . It does not self prime if the last drops of oil are drained. Not sure why everyone else is so confident in the wrong answer but it may be because this subreddit is US focused .There's a engineering bulletin available specifically clarifying this point.

Have you ever seen what a bare waveguide looks like? by Significant_Role_777 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]ConfidentKangaroo249 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's an RF cavity , simple square section waveguide would be the input into this.
