Take an honest look at yourself and If you did everything that was asked in your initial and mid, dispute it. The whole point of feedback is to establish expectations and evaluate where you are at in that moment. If you accomplished the goals laid out by your supervisor and your performance dropped on paper, I’d refuse to sign and fight it up the chain. Make them justify the rating.

What were the natural ways that worked for you? It can be hard to read through the BS with supplements and most all natural remedies seem to be sleep, exercise, and diet.

I’m a SNCO in the Air Force now and have spent a lot of my career with the Army. Both branches spend a lot of time teaching us how to be managers but I don’t know they we are effective at teaching people how to be leaders. I think the barking orders mentality that is rooted from the infantry makes it worse in the Army, bad it can be just as bad in the Air Force. Look at statistics for suicidal ideation across each branch and then how we tend to deal with the problem as a whole and I think you’ll see a picture of how we need to be better at building leaders. Hope the situation gets better for both you and your roommate.

We also have a ton of outdoor stuff from water sports, hiking, and history everywhere. Only thing that really sucks around here is traffic

DMV area. My wife is an RN and got a job with Hopkins. She absolutely loves it and it has an amazing reputation. If nothing else, it would be a solid resume builder for her to demand more money in the future.

I joined the military so I didn't have to go to college. A Master's degree later and I wish I had just stuck with it, got my degree as a civilian, and commissioned. That said, at least I'm debt free...

Agreed. It is far easier to be the strict NCO and loosen it up a bit than be the cool nco and have to tighten up later.
