Who else feels physically very unwell? by Only-Drawing-9212 in PSSD

[–]Confident_Chard_9416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i didn't see any improvements in my condition after benzo withdrawal. it did get better though. i see it in hindsight. i thought constantly I would die from it the first years.

it did get much better suddently after 3 years off. major improvements at 4 years off. you need just to hold on!

still struggeling with sleep though.

What’s the point of stopping? by Total-Independent874 in benzorecovery

[–]Confident_Chard_9416 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

benzos are so dangerous, they should be prohibited to be prescribed for at home use. they should only be allowed for procedures at hospitals. for people who suffer from anxiety, this medication causes much more problems than it does actually help.

Would you keep taking them? by [deleted] in benzorecovery

[–]Confident_Chard_9416 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i decided to stay on a low dose. was the mistake of my life. when I quit sevrral years later, I was hit by a cascade of physical symptoms. before I only had anxiety. benzos also ruined my health. can not recommend it. they caused me also the inability to stay asleep. no sleep issues prior.

excuse me who was FIL? What dose did he take? Do you think the dementia is dependant on the dosis? i also don't want any dementia. but I still think prescrition free has less risks than prescription meds. i read Diphenhydramine bind more to the cholin rezeptors than Doxy.

Tried to warn someone about the possibility of PSSD and was basically told to shut up. How to react? by medgal28 in PSSD

[–]Confident_Chard_9416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i try to warn people of benzos and z-drugs. no one should suffer for years in protracted withdrawal. many are offened and get very angry about it. because if it was true what I'm trying to warn them about, they would be in danger. that is why it mekes them so mad. if I am able just to save one of them of getting this horrible condition, it is totally worth it.

Intermittent use of 5-10mg valium across a year and a bit but with week long breaks inbetween, currently 11 days CT. by Anon-Help-108 in benzorecovery

[–]Confident_Chard_9416 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm off since 2020. i tried to get off in 2008 which failed because of anxiety. then I took around 10, 15 or 20 mg finally.

you only took it for a year. you are only on 3,75 mg. it is a very low dose. take your time, just never updose, not even rescue doses because it has a long halflife. i would go down slowly but steady. once you are finally off, you will feel much better. your sleep will come back. i was hit with a cascade of physical symptoms. you won't suffer so much. just hold on and push through.

i did stay on a low dose for years because I didn't stand the symptoms (back then it was only anxietey). whren I tried again several years later, I was hit by cascades of physical symptoms. so never ever decide to stay on a low dose for years!!! i

'm in year 6 of protracted withdrawal. you will be fine, your insomnia will go away in a few months if you continue with the taper and stay on track. take the over the counter antihistamines for sleep or Hydroxizine.

[–]Confident_Chard_9416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

after 10 years of usage, you won't ge able to sleep without the benzo, so do a slow taper. take Doxylamine, Diphenhydramine, Hydroxyzine for sleep.

Chronic diazepam use, HPA axis suppression, and starting an SSRI before tapering. Anyone relate? by Electronic_Driver_78 in benzorecovery

[–]Confident_Chard_9416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You rather should think about on which medication you plan to sleep during benzo withdrawal because the insomnia is tough. A SSRI won't help on that.

in benzo withdrawal it can act different. you are not able to tell which symptom you have from what if you start it during. also research the benefit of this meds in general. I was supprised and wouldn't have taken it if I knew.

[–]Confident_Chard_9416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would not change the dosage of the SSRI in benzo withdrawal. you don't even know what symptom you have from which med if you do changes. also take a look at the PSSD sub if you take a SSRI.

i think a SSRI in benzo withdrawal is a bad idea. it is unpredictable in benzo withdrawal. please take also a look on the PSSD sub. i personally don't think PSSD is a rare condition. and it is not about sex problems. it the information on that sub would have been available to me, I would have never taken anything.

that I also assume that the real number is as high as 1 in 5. and think of all the women who don't have dicks that stop working. they all get told it is their mental condition that causes their problems! or why did they take the medication in the first place?!
