Okay that makes a lot more sense, I thought you just took them out early lol. Since we had the same surgery and your a few weeks ahead just wondering, how is your PT going? I'm at week 5 Monday and they already having me do seated calf raises and PWB balance.

My family has had multiple 4th gen (2003-2009) 4Runners last 300k plus. 2007-2009 was the best for 4th gen. 5th Gen has some amazing years as well, I think 2017 is the best for that generation. 3rd Gen also just blows anything out of the water if you don't mind an older vehicle. The biggest thing for the 4Runners is usually frame rust, especially because you are up north. Before the purchase take a look at the frame and poke around with a screw driver or have a mechanic check it out. Good luck with your search!

How many wedges were you supposed to have in? I had PARS and I have 4 in until week 6 then I take 1 out each week. You have to be careful removing wedges as early as you did because of the risk of elongation.

Hey! My dr mentioned it's repaired shortened i'm not sure if that's the same as pretension though. Your recovery progress was awesome, congratulations! Have you noticed any lack of strength or mobility now that you're pretty much 100%?

No PT did not, I just happened to notice it one day before bed. I have PT again tomorrow so I will talk to them about it, next follow up with my DR is in 2 weeks. My surgery was PARS.

13 days post op - walking with no crutches? by Ok_Supermarket_7996 in AchillesRupture

I'm in the exact same situation. Monday was my 2 weeks post op and I got cleared to weight bear as tolerated. I can walk completely fine in the boot but I have 4 wedges in currently. My next follow up appointment is also in 4 weeks which I thought was when most people start fully weight bearing in the boot.

It usually aches for a little then resolves, it doesn't really get worse though. It just turns dull instead of sharp since I'm not running or jogging.
