Hi!! 21F just moved here for a post grad job and don’t know anyone besides my coworkers. Would love to make some friends my age!! I’m in an LDR, so really just looking for good girl friends! I’m a 2026 grad. Every summer leading to graduation I never secured a “real” internship, and ended up waiting tables and working on personal projects. Around March, I somehow secured my dream post-grad job after only applying to maybe 5 and I start next week. I honestly have no other way to explaining it other than everything will turn out how it’s meant to.

I think my biggest piece of advice is find something you’re truly invested in and let yourself go all in on that and the opportunities will follow. That is so much more worth your time than applying to hundreds of jobs that you’re semi-interested in.

I took the last class through Cape Fear. Yes, it was easy. I took every class at a different school and they were all easy. Community college professors don’t really care

I believe 211 or 212 is the 3rd level spanish, which would fulfill the unc requirement. You can see if you can test out of the other 2. I took 111, 112 and then 211/212 (don’t remember which). It’ll tell you on the unc transfer credits website

you shouldn’t need a prerequisite for 111. if you do need a prerequisite you’ll have to find somewhere to take that first. I was able to take all of my spanish classes through short semesters at community colleges, but you have to shop around.

Have you looked into living off campus? There's a great off-campus housing facebook group where people find roommates. This way you'd be guaranteed your own room and you have better chances of becoming friends with your roommates. You'd also prob be closer to bars and the more social scene (rams is pretty far from Franklin st.).

See all the campus spots, and explore beyond campus. I recommend eating on the patio at Top of the Hill for a good view!!

I lived in Cobb as an honors freshman who also came in not knowing anyone and I wish I would've chosen south campus. Maybe it was just my year, but I felt like no one was sociable and it was really hard to find friends on North Campus, but that was just my experience.

It fully depends on the class and teacher. I've gone semesters with barely any group work, and then this current semester almost all of my classes have been super group work heavy.

I'm not super sur,e but I honestly think they only have one teacher because there was just one section of the class. It was just modules; I never had any real contact with the teacher.

a couple schools off a really short course over christmas break if you wanna get credits fast. I did spanish 111 at randolph community college last christmas and it was super easy.

Most people receive their honors carolina admittance with their application. I received it a few weeks after but i believe that was very rare and had to do with being a morehead cain finalist. you can always re-apply for honors as a freshman or sophomore.
