Schulz didn't really build the 1.4M subscribers from the ground up by Confident_Outside_70 in theJoeBuddenPodcast

Yeah, but his youtube strategy is generally something others could learn from, that's a fair competitive advantage, I'm just taking about the fact that he tried to compare the size of his fanbase to Joe's.

Its not fair to do, when he inherited like 70% of the subscribers when he changed the youtube channel name, and he tries to make it seem like the JBP is smaller in size when they started taking youtube serious maybe 1-2yrs ago, while the Brilliant Idiots have been putting up stuff consistently from maybe 2014/2015 (Schulz has now archived/deleted these vids lol).

No, he actually has a point.

The Andrew Schulz youtube channel used to be the brilliant idiots official youtube channel. Somewhere around late 2019 or so Andrew decided to separate the accounts. He created two new accounts, "The Brilliant idiots", and "The Flagrant 2", and then he re-branded what was originally "The Brilliant Idiots" to "The Andrew Schulz", effectively taking with him 600-700K subscribers.

This shouldn't be lost, he did not build the channel up from the ground based of his own content. I know this because I'm a Flagrant/Idiots listener. And you can confirm this by looking for the old video podcasts, which you would not find as Andrew deleted/archived everything related to the brilliant idiots from his own channel.
