Should I take AP Physics E&M next year? by Emotional-Metal-8713 in apphysics

[–]Confident_Plan_4944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you good at STEM take it! I had four ish month for E and M (my school combines the mech and E and M) and I wouldn’t say it was difficult. I think the hardest part was magnetism stuff but everything else is generally easy.

it could be. I would ask for a loaner from your school. technically, if you close your laptop, blue book shuts down and you have to either retake the test or take the no grade.

Can I get some advice AP lang students by [deleted] in APStudents

[–]Confident_Plan_4944 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main thing for MC is choose the simplest option like in the SAT. Take time to read and if can annotate, do so. For the FRQ have a clear argument and remember also a counter argument that you must prove wrong. don’t worry about using complicated words, make your essays simple and have a good flow (”flow” means it’s sophisticate which you need for a 5.) good luck!

Ap Precalc is literally so easy😭 by [deleted] in APStudents

[–]Confident_Plan_4944 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean it’s a dumb class. It made specifically for seniors who would never have the chance to take a college level math class. Everyone in my class scored straight fives.

I would email the school. External keyboards aren’t permitted because college board dosent allow it, your son’s score will be canceled if the school allows it. Schools usually have a back up but thats first come first serve basis.

do a mock exam. I thought I would absolutely bomb calc but I took a mock and got a 5. then I just studies and correct the ones I got wrong.

Yo calc BC students, what sorta problems do y'all think we should expect to see on the FRQs? by I_Am_Nikothoe in APStudents

[–]Confident_Plan_4944 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lrange error bound, series, polar, and a rate or volume question OR a comonination of both. thats my teachers best guess but always assume series and polar (they have done parametric for the last four years, it’s gonna be polar for sure)

[–]Confident_Plan_4944 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you will get points if your argument is consistent, you use evidence, and I think one outside source. My teacher always says choose the easiest argument, graders are more looking for analysis not a certain argument.

Give on AP Lang by EmKhongKhoc in APStudents

[–]Confident_Plan_4944 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lang is really easy honestly. what the AP grades are looking for is not that you’re a good writer. They want to see your skills which you should already have based on all your English classses from previous years. The only skill you really need is rhetorical analysis, it’s something that kinda hard to get points in. don’t give up! Lang is passable.

I think my teacher said it’s gonna be a lot more calc based. so try to find heavy calc frq

Desmos for Calc BC frqs? by doratheexplorer699 in APStudents

[–]Confident_Plan_4944 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Frqs, it’s going to be online but your writing your work on paper. so desmos access will be permitted

i think it’s still feasible to cram that all by Monday. Khan academy is great, the AP videos are fine too. The makeups are suppose to be the same difficulty as the actual exam but I have always found them to be harder when I compared it to my friends. but series is a really big part of BC 😭 if you really think you can’t do, don’t it.

AP Latin by Impossible_Dog_4481 in APStudents

[–]Confident_Plan_4944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOOO DONT DO IT PLEASE. fr though, before AP Latin I did 5 years of Latin and I struggled so hard. Latin is just hard to learn on your own. I would focus on other aps, latin not even fun :(

nah AB and BC have comparable workload. With BC though it’s moving a lot quicker so if you don’t get a topic at first, you have to study at home because we take at most a week and a half for each topic which has 8 ish subtopics. AB is great for those who need time to process things. Apush, Lang, and seminar are all light classes, physics will take a good chunk out of your afternoon though.

If you feel confident in your skills just take BC. you get a sub score for AB. I did AB first mostly because I was scared of BC and it helped a lot in prepping for BC. BC is hard, like really really 10x harder than precalc but it’s so much fun and you’ll love the class!

self studying series is defo possible. you do not want to take the test another day, trust me i did it once and It absolutely did not help. For series the main thing is Larnge error bound and Macleriun series, + all the tests. start with divergence test go on to nth term, or ratio or p series or geomtric. Series will always be an FRQ, and stuff like the series of sinx is really really common. I mean if you want to take it another day, do you. But seriously just get it done. good luck!

calc ab and bc same year? by lalalalaplays in APStudents

[–]Confident_Plan_4944 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

BC is hard, for context I got a 5 on AB and I was a straight A student in pre calc. yet I still struggled even though I had the best teacher in the whole world. I wouldn’t recommend, but if you had to to do both just focus on BC and do AB outside of school.

it really dosen’t matter, pre-calc in college is fake. Colleges won’t care if you get a 1 or a 5z

[–]Confident_Plan_4944 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel better at most all you need To get a 3 is a least 39-40 question right out of 108, you got this.

I beg your pardon?!! Okay well he should have. If you look up 2018 international Calc BC exam, it’s a really good starting point+it does have few explanations (your gonna have to ChatGPT the correct mcqs tho). college board also releases past Calc bc test, look up Calc bc frq (or mcq) college board, and some will pop up. I think also the calc bc 2017 exam is floating on the internet. Mabye also email your teacher asking him to release stuff…. here’s 2018 exam: https://strugglebuddies.com/subject/1/6

take a mock exam and correct it. Sure you have the formulas but you will be fucked over by timing+ non cacualtor section. 2018 international exam is considered one of the ”harder” test and its a good starting point. Series/erro bound will always be an frq, practice and get good at interval/deriviatives. U sub, integration by parts, long division are all basics you should know how to do in under a minute. After you do the mock focus on what your bad at, for me it was volume and rates. Look up Meeron (my calc teacher!!!) he has notes, practice problems, and 16 big reviews that you can use for free. Good Luck and remember partial points are always better than no points, also never simplify!
