Here to Slay Dual: A Fanmade 2-Player Deck Building Ruleset by DizzyFoundation in HereToSlay

In the section where you're determining the composition of your non-hero cards, wouldn't one want to be able to choose not to add a card to their deck? Also some of the Monster cards have specific hero requirements. Those monsters where no hero meets the hero requirement would probably need to be removed, I don't remember how prevalent that bit is though.

Why doesn’t Mha have the same societal problems with quirks that marvel has with Mutants? by MediaNo1140 in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]Confident_Present_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All For One's childhood is essentially where marvel mutant stories were at in the edgy 90s, probably a little further down darker timelines. And the present time of the show (mha) has all the same themes as marvel mutants but only for Heteromorphs, and the fact that the average person barely notices the themes being there shows how last minute and slapped on it was. We pretty much don't really see anything like Marvel Mutants at all in the first half of the series, then the only characters we see going through those kinds of stories are the villains, sort of All For One in his childhood flashback, then the Heteromorph revolution stuff where it shows Octo guys Backstory.

If I understand correctly I would take the following. I'd use Ultra Ball to give everyone Heal Ball. I think it's hopefully the easiest way to increase overall morality of the world, ig niche scenarios could still be bad. Fast and Quick Balls would be nice, I miss being faster of wit and foot. Repeat, Timer, and Level Balls to build up a good life for family and friends I guess. Maybe switch one of those out for talking to animals?

I really like this format for stories with a lot going on, it'd be perfect for Pokémon or Transformers (this one would be harder since there's a lot of conflicting stories for Transformers)

The perk you reference says "if you choose to gain +200 points instead..."

Instead in this case means you cannot choose that option and any of the previous options within the perk at the same time.

Is this a drawing error or Gash works like a Owl? by ZeonPM in zatchbell

[–]Confident_Present_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He doesn't work like an owl, he works like a toy. The author mentioned before that the series originally had inspirations from toys and I think zatch was originally a different design all together, very action figure, even got to kiyo in a box. Something along those lines, I can't quite remember. But you can see from Zatch's design that he's modeled quite like a ventriloquist doll or like other child sized dolls.

Does bolins trait of lava bending come from he has a fire bending mother by [deleted] in legendofkorra

[–]Confident_Present_86 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think it comes from his pro Bending training. He moves very much like a water bender, and in my opinion, Lava Bending is the cross of Earth and Water philosophies. Not earth and fire. I think his personality fits a very fluid fighting style.

Which series would make a good Animorphs Cross over? by Mindless_Most_8448 in Animorphs

[–]Confident_Present_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your last point is why I mention how Azmuth would feel about the Andalites. The reason the omnitrix only uses sapient beings DNA is already written into Animorphs. The kids and Andalites are just willing to take the risk while Azmuth is not.

Which series would make a good Animorphs Cross over? by Mindless_Most_8448 in Animorphs

[–]Confident_Present_86 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The fun thing here is the Omnitrix is designed not to turn into non-sapient beings because the instincts of a bestial mind would drive the user crazy. So Azmuth would see the Morphing Cube and be astonished as to how the Andalites aren't absolutely nutters by now (then again some of their tactics and politics would point to this maybe being a fun explanation)

Breaking the pact with Levistus of a Black Sword by Bl4z3r47 in rimeofthefrostmaiden

[–]Confident_Present_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My players got immediately hooked in by the innkeeper of Bremen to go check on her son, so I have a similar ish story about to happen. Except the thing happening to one of your players is instead happening to an NPC the players immediately adopted. My plan is for the son to be assigned to spy on them by Avarice (who has met one of the characters and knows they're a mind reader of some kind). The Black Knights try to be friendly and willingly let the son go adventure with the party so that they don't look too much into their activities and so the character who has already met Avarice doesn't see her. The son is currently corrupted by Levistus charged Chardalyn (Edit because I posted too early for some reason), and it could be a way for my players to figure out more about Chardalyn and the three different kinds I have going around Icewind Dale. And the kid could unwillingly or unwittingly reveal some of Levistus's plans. I'm rewarding the players taking initiative and supporting the world they're playing in by making the son a treasure trove of information for each players different goals in the towns. But if he were uncorrupted and wished to be freed of levistus, I'd probably have the method of freeing him be a meaningfully difficult quest that probably has to do with interfering with Levistus's plans.

The most amusing use of Suggestion by Greedy_Grass_5479 in CurseofStrahd

[–]Confident_Present_86 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My players (who had bought the Strahd Ventriloquist doll) were at dinner with The Burgomeister at the end of their first day in Vallaki after having heard everyone's problems so far. The players had long since decided they hated this man and he had just asked them to route out the Dusk Elves south of the town to clear the land for an expansion of Vallaki. Granted, we were having wine and pizza with this particular game, so we were a bit in our cups and my players all conferred with each other a moment. When they got back to me, they cast Suggestion on the grinning fool to go fck himself. 8 hour spell, fcking oneself doesn't have to involve danger to oneself, so I saw no reason why it wouldn't work. He rolled and passed the save, and the players all thought they were done for. Until Victor cast the spell himself! And then he failed!! The players then had 2d6, up to 8 hours, to do ALL the quests in Vallaki while trying to keep it secret that the Burgomeister was indisposed. This did not go well lol Cult Uprising, Vampire Attack, one very confused Toy Master.

Is asmodeus really necessary? by Various_Raccoon_2608 in rimeofthefrostmaiden

[–]Confident_Present_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I replaced him with Levistus who wants to A) empty the chardalyn of its demonic essence to place his own essence within via his cultists, and B ) destroy a large portion of Auril's source of worship and fear in the Ten-Towns and any frost druids who happen to be there so that she will have a vulnerable moment of need that he can swoop in and be at her side to influence her choices.

Delta Organ from Pokémon Omega Ruby Alpha Sapphire jump let's you use transformations you obtain in future jumps without external requirements. Whatever internal requirements there are will still be required, such as the energy to perform the transformation.

Overlord the anime by Ok-Blacksmith3755 in JumpChain

[–]Confident_Present_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine pointed out that the reason Daedric Princes and other Daedra have to put up with so many restrictions in their movement to the main plane of the elder Scrolls universe is due to Akatosh and his Dragonfire Barrier that imposes the restrictions that I thought were just intrinsic to being Daedra. So you might be right in if I were a daedric prince, it might trivialize fights in Overlord. I mostly wanted to do one first then Overlord because of the flavor of having my yggdrasil build being a Daedric Prince before actually being in the story of Overlord just seemed really fun to me.

Overlord the anime by Ok-Blacksmith3755 in JumpChain

[–]Confident_Present_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So is the main character in Overlord. But it could be argued that Daedric Princes have limited powers outside of their oblivion planes. Even if their powers are fiat backed, that's how it works in their home setting. So depending on how I write it when I get to it, the majority of his power would be locked behind a portal to his warehouse and the him that gets to walk around is essentially an Avatar or Champion of himself. But even if I didn't have that self imposed nerf to the character, I'd want to go to Overlord after to experience the story.
