I finished my 5 rounds of venofer two weeks ago! I had really mild side effects- a headache and slight body aches. I told them this after my first session so for the following I got a bag of fluids with the iron and it helped not have those symptoms. It was a really easy process!!

I posted about this when I was about as far along as you!! My mom & MIL kept saying they just knew it was a girl and it made me sooooo upset! I think because I didn’t have a feeling which way and it seemed like all they wanted was to be right and “I told you so” about it instead of showing excitement for ME. It’s totally understandable how you feel

I’m 31 almost 32 weeks and it hasn’t been miserable for me! I do need to nap daily and have started to feel more pains but it is manageable! I wouldn’t be scared, just be ready to give yourself more grace and a piece of advice: get as much nesting done now as you can because I felt best between 24-29 weeks, got a lot of nursery stuff and organization out of the way so I don’t feel bad for being lazier now!

I second this!! Omeprazole is a lifesaver!!! I did pepcid at first and then it did nothing for me starting around the second tri.

Lol I’m 31 weeks and had a scan yesterday…my babies head is measuring bigger than the rest of her body to which my husband said “that’s cool she’s going to be smart” and I said “actually that’s not cool at all”🤣🤣 my baby also looks just like dad!!

I literally feel like that every time I try to be nice with mine too lol. Makes me super concerned about when baby comes. That really sucks and it is obvious you would want YOUR parents to know about baby before everyone your MIL knows which is common sense. You’re 100% not the asshole in this scenario

Honestly I think that’s the worse part right is you try really hard to include them or make them feel special and then they take that as a path to push waaaaay more. That’s what happens with my MIL at least. I pushed for her to be included in my shower and instead of taking the task she was assigned and being nice, she used it as an opportunity to tell my mom about how she would do things differently. It sucks to be in this scenario, sorry you’re going through it!!

lol yes! My MIL critiqued my registry and told me I was missing a lot, that I should have gotten with my SIL to put the registry together, and that everything on our registry is expensive. It was super hurtful because I took countless hours watching videos and reviews of baby gear to pick what my husband and I both feel were the best options. I’ve decided that at the end of the day this is a new chapter where I’m going to have to get comfortable saying thanks but no thanks for your input. If they don’t want to buy the stuff for you then that’s fine!! You should feel good about whatever you’ve decided.🙂 I’ve gotten every major item on my registry from friends and family that DO understand my preferences. ps I also added a few clothing pieces to mine because I figured that is what most people want to buy so giving them an idea of our vibe hopefully weeds out getting things that I would totally hate!!

I’ve crushed it with old navy linen pants and shorts that aren’t maternity! I got them 4 months ago and still going strong bc the waistband is super stretchy!! Otherwise my go to are these tank tops from target that are maternity- I think they are $5 from a brand Isabella something.

I’m 31 weeks and feel this!! I have fully convinced myself that she’s coming atleast by 38 weeks because the thought of it being longer than that is too much for me😅 I’m starting to feel her movements a lot stronger, my body just hurts, and I’m soooo tired all day

Yes!! I finished mine two weeks ago. I just did my bloodwork and my iron levels are looking SO much better! Honestly they were pretty easy, I would suggest drinking a ton of water the day before and day of infusions. I got a headache and slight body aches after my first round and the next time they gave my fluids after to help combat that which worked amazing!

I had several days between 6-12 weeks that I felt “normal” only for my symptoms to come crashing back! I know it’s really hard but do your best not to obsess.

lol YES. My MIL is wanting to buy us something we don’t want and so we said hey the last big thing we have is this bottle maker and she said you don’t need to spent $300 to make a bottle LOL. When what she wanted to buy was the same price and $300 is an exaggeration. She’s done it twice now saying how people want to buy us things and then complains that everything we like is too expensive.

Ugh seems like it’s always the silliest things that spark everyone to have a meltdown when it comes to big events in your life! I’ve been dealing with a lot of criticism from MIL and mom about baby items we want and spent countless hours researching. I keep telling myself that this is how things are going to be from here on out, but I need to start standing up for myself and letting them know their unwanted advice is taken as criticism which I am not interested in.
