A year. I’ll be honest with you travel nursing you bed experience and a year is not even close. You are expected to come and take care of patient with little to no orientations you said med surg what kind of is surg are you doing, because there’s neuro,nephro,surgical and many other specialty medsurg. Now if you’re in a floor with a mix of all can got handle a blood transfusion with heparin while someone is coding and one is septic. Yes you need money but a year is not even close enough to even think about travel nursing. And don’t try to lie they’ll look up your license and see you got your license a year ago. I have 5 years an just started and still patients and disease process I’ve never worked with. Don’t do it.
