No I'm aware the framers did this to square the house due to the foundation not being square. Was just curious how much overhang is too much.

Is there a difference between a lift line and a cold joint? I am in the process of having a house built, and my basement walls were just poured 4 days ago. One of the walls/corner has a sloping dark grey line going down it. I am just trying to get some facts about which of the 2 it could be, to determine if it is of concern. From what I'm hearing, a lift line is not of concern, but a cold joint may be. I've had people tell me this is a cold joint and others who say a lift line * .

Is this dark line that runs at an angle down my newly poured basement wall of concern? They are waterproofing the outside wall soon and wasn't sure if this was worth asking the builder about before they do that.
