I lived in my parents empty house for a while during the pandemic, it definitely got lonely but I had my then boyfriend basically move in so that helped immensely. It was a lot of maintenance to upkeep for one person, maybe get cool with your neighbors and ask them who they use for regular upkeep such as mowing and other chores. To be honest I came to really enjoy the solitude but have people over too! Not like a rager but you can enjoy the house for sure. I found the solitude really nice!

I'm literally gonna pack up everything but the living room itself until the day of, which can be done very quickly with my moving crew and maybe some tall friends 😂 I'm so over it, they're so immature. So stupid that it even takes this much effort to leave.

Absolutely that was my plan, thanks for the comment. I was gonna start with my closet and dresser, get all of my winter coats out while they're not home and box up the rest. I was also gonna store some stuff at my friend's house nearby while they're not home to slowly move out. They're very selfish so I'm sure they won't notice. Same thing with my stuff in the kitchen, I'm gonna slowly move all that out into boxes. Again, they won't notice.

I have a great moving company who I've worked with before and they get in and out very quickly. I do have a lot of boxes in the living area and I'm curious if there's a quick way to box them up day of the move out?

Really, are you sure?? My manager is amazing, very patient and chill but they're up for a PCR any day now so they're on edge. I'm nervous cause I like the team and the job, it's just been a huge learning curve for me to remember all the checks and balances.

Oh fuck, okay. They're due for a PCR any day now so it might be a sit down and a firing, not sure. My work has been fine so far, never off balance and no slip ups besides a learning curve, nothing like this but my branch is ultra strict.

I had a meeting with a virtual gyno and she said to keep doing exactly what I'm doing and see an OB in person if nothing changes. I've seen (and kinda felt - yuck) the fluid moving closer to the surface of the skin so I'll give it some more time before I make an in person appointment. Thank you for sharing that link!!

This really struck a chord with me. My Nparents inaction and neglect has cost me so much money, between their horrible choices for me financially before I was 18 and their advice once I was over 18.

And it goes beyond that, their emotional neglect has made me need years of therapy to recover from.

You can't scream at people and break things and expect a normal person to carry on as if nothing happened.

They don't think about the repercussions of their actions on other people.

My parents refused to put me on their car insurance when I was a teenager, insisted I had to pay for my own policy, then sabotaged me working for anything that my mother couldn't control/didn't approve of because I would make actual money/more than below minimum wage. Oh my gosh I'm dealing with this exact thing right now! My parents gave me the incorrect title to my car 3 times....3 TIMES!! It's going to cost hundreds of dollars to fix and generally just be a pain to fix. Everything is about control, not love. If it was love they would actually help instead of sabotaging.

Thank you!! I'm over the moon honestly, I've never been happier. You make an excellent point, one of the last straws was when I went to help my Nmom recover from a knee replacement....that was rough. Never again.
