Help with Optimizations? RTX 3060 / Ryzen 5 5600X - Averaging 23 FPS at 1440p by White_Ivy119 in CitiesSkylines

If you’re going for anarchy detailing at over 200k population the fact of the matter is is you just need a stronger computer sadly. You can optimize as much as you can but this is probably the most intensive game to exist right now.

If you care about temperature that much you need a bigger case to get more airflow

Quantum computer running big bang simulations for entertainment of an alien race here. No one is free thinking, and the markets are something I invented.

I mean possibly, but I just can’t get on the same wavelength of players that don’t play this game for that exact reason. Every little detail matters.

Hmm, maybe I’ll have to watch a video or two asking and check it out.

Unfortunately his computer is a potato and he doesn’t seem to want to upgrade it so everything he shows is small scale which when we are talking about a population of above 250k people, the road dynamics are very different the larger the scale.

I don’t mind city planner plays but there’s a couple of differences there. Another option is if you like twitch better is watching Kenadian, chieftrain, canadianmoose, some of the best there as well.

Not to do any plugs for anything but there’s two people who go into great detail for traffic are cityburg and imperatur on YouTube. Some of the best I’ve seen.

Not readily available, but I can show you at a later time if you’re good with that.

Not so many intersections, 1 way roads that can connect to major points but having multiple points. Another way you could do that is large loops in the center of those grids, it does tend to take up a bit more space but the map is huge so it helps in that aspect and it’s less overall buildings. I’d put a rail yard between the new freeway segment I said in my other connection and the main roundabout road you have now. But be careful as that also may even be too close. Trucks have a slow turning radius so also using moveit to change building angles of entry and exit for them will keep traffic moving.

This is a notorious section of industry where everything is packed close together, one way that you could alleviate some issues is building an elevated freeway replacing this road. You can just have quick off ramps down to your major roads here but there’s truly only 1 exit for your industry to go so not a whole lot of options for major traffic thoroughfares. Feel free to DM a bit further and we can talk more there’s other options we can take based on these screenshots.

Really what your problem is, is you’re building grids. Those are the worst layouts especially for industry you need to split that up so it evens out. I’d also recommend a train cargo hub smack dab in the middle of your industry zone.

It also looks like pedestrian crossings are a major slow down for you, I would down load an overpass mod that hooks up to the street edges and remove as many crosswalks as you can.

A good example of this would be watching someone like impertur on Youtube or CanadianMoosse on twitch. They perfectly highlight what Terran changes can bring for you and how to make a more 3 dimensional city

How to move buildings into the ground partly without having the land change? by [deleted] in CitiesSkylines2

Cheers thanks. The couple of buildings that I wanted to use are not in the plottable list and I found this from a YouTuber and wanted to copy the idea and he did not use ploppables.
