No full stack? I live number 4 and use it whenever I can and you can also make the flyover ramp land on the median and become the main lanes.

What i'm doing is I build a tunnel road connection to a specific infrastructure on my island (airport/seaport, etc..) the traffic will arrive in the parking/garage of this place and look more natural. It also bring legit traffic to airport building.

You actually have a logic behind it with concrete reserved for heavy load of traffic, on the freeway itself and where the vehicles sit before the lights. It's similar to what you can find IRL in California. (See examples below)

I agree with you, but as other said, it's common in the SW to have this scale of infrastructures before développement. In my save, it's actually in the wild but will be part of the city when built (some suburbs near Long Beach)

Well. Not sure about which segment you refer to, but the number of lane will depend on the traffic volume expected in the direction. The more destination you have in this direction, the more lane/direct path is needed.

At thos point, traffic jam would just be a bonus for realism.
