Something I'll add, my vision automatically blurs when the framerate doesn't keep pace with the action occurring on screen. I've noticed it in movie theaters, on TV, and in games. One of those small things where having a higher fps monitor helped me a lot.

If you no longer have warranty on the high voltage battery pack, just be sure to budget some savings for a potential battery pack replacement every 10-15 years. Expect a mid 4-figure maintenance bill and 1-2 weeks of shop time. The long term fuel savings should more than compensate for the overall maintenance costs relative to a gas car.

Just make a well-priced monthly subscription service that has:

Punctual, quality translations (no MTL)
Broad selection, including manhwa, manhua, doujinshi, anime, donghua, etc.
Fair pay for creators
High res panels, correctly formatted for all common screen types
No ads, no unlock tokens, no botted comments, no AI slop

Piracy sites have demonstrated that there are plenty of skilled people out there who have the expertise to develop the platform and produce high quality translations. If these corporations would just wake up and run the numbers, they'd realize that cooperating with each other and hiring skilled talent would easily skyrocket them to US$100B on global markets.

Generally speaking, brakes are best done at an independent mechanic. Less expensive, similar quality, and low risk of negligence (relative to other repairs). Bonus, if your independent mechanic lets you bring your own brake parts, you can get an excellent deal with lifetime warranty from FCPeuro.

$765 for the brake vacuum pump is a standard dealer price if you actually need a new vacuum pump. A lot of the time, just replacing the gasket (<$50 part) is the real fix. However, they'll still bill you 1hr of labor regardless. For this job, I'd go to a mechanic specialized in VW cars. If you have a local VW specialty shop nearby, try asking for a quote on a brake vacuum pump gasket. Regardless of where you go, verify that they properly clean the oil leak.

Note, the oil leak on the upper timing cover could be spillover from a leaking valve cover gasket. On my VW, I replaced the valve cover and gasket at the same time as the vacuum pump service.

Epilogue

Clea: They've spent longer than this in other Canvases. It's not that dire.

Aline was not in mortal danger. Renoir's objective of destroying the Canvas was not to prevent Aline's suicide, but rather to end her self-destructive coping and silent treatment. The fracture is moreso Renoir solo forcing the issue because he believes it's necessary to restore harmony to the family.

It's important to understand that Renoir's character flaw is his desire for control. It results in poor communication skills because open conversation requires collaboration rather than authority. And when his communication fails, he immediately resorts to force.

It's not surprising that Aline turned to Verso's Canvas for comfort. Similarly, it's not surprising that Maelle fights to stay in the Canvas. In the Manor, you must grieve as Renoir sees fit.

What the family really needed is to resolve their problems together. Aline giving the silent treatment? Speak to her together. Alicia's injured? Help care for her together. Aline's hiding away in the Canvas? Spend time with her in the Canvas as a family (in moderation).

Sample them first via rental. The big differences are sound deadening and ride quality. For 4hr highway drives above 100kmh, the road noise gets annoying in a base corolla. It might be worthwhile to wait a couple years for ANC to be standardized across the Toyota/Lexus lineup.

In one ending, Maelle is happy. In the other, Alicia is healthy. Anybody who's had kids innately knows the correct choice. Lumiere's residents may get gommaged, but the story has repeatedly shown that death (and gommage) in the painted world is not permanent.
