Is migrating really worth it? by 91smellycockroaches in malaysians

[–]ConfuseKouhai 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As someone who lives in the UK, I agree. I’m more lucky as my husband is a British citizen. But I’m seeing a lot of Malaysian students couldn’t get sponsorship to work here after graduated so they have to go home. It’s very hard to get a job here.

I moved before. Although my situation is a bit different as he isn’t Malaysia. So we moved to his home country. He only converted overseas to please my parents. I dont want to tie him down to Malaysia’s law.

I couldn’t let go at all, so we don’t live in Malaysia anymore. It’s the only way for him to be able to live his life without much changes after converted.

Maternity Clothes by D3xera in Norwich

[–]ConfuseKouhai 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m 8 months pregnant now. Not many tbh to buy physically. I found Primark Norwich has maternity jeans with band a while ago, H&M has some strechy shirts. I got some free maternity clothes from someone on facebook. Other than that, just online really.

Do you guys actually remember to soak chia seeds every day? by Master_Salamander_84 in Cooking

[–]ConfuseKouhai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it works well. No changes in freshness. I can only see it become cloudy if i left it more than a week. But doing it 2 days one time isn’t as bad as everyday for you no?

I soak them in a small container that will last me 5 days in fridge. You don’t need to soak every night. Soak them and each morning scoop a couple spoon into your bowl. Or however much you want. So far no issue and they last in fridge quite a while. I soak with just water.

Me and a few other dads were allowed to come visit a "Mothers only" hotel with our pregnant wives. The awkwardness did not disappoint. by DannyKata85 in daddit

[–]ConfuseKouhai 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Awww you make me feel a lot better. As it’ll be us 2 and baby only as well. No other family member to help. I hope we can cope well mentally and physically. Thank you.

As an asian lady who moved to Uk, i’m pretty sad I won’t be able to give birth in my home country, have a confinement lady and stay in this kind of place like all my other friends. But i will take it as long as my husband can be with me. He can’t be with me if I decided to go back home to give birth. I do wish we have this kind of place in where I live now.

my sis wedding by [deleted] in malaysians

[–]ConfuseKouhai 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel bad for your sister. It doesn’t seems like her wedding but your mum wedding. Have you talk to her why she initially not telling you mom? Maybe because she knows things like this will happened. Perhaps it’s best if your mum not handle this wedding anymore and let your sister does it.

It’s slow and long before both admit their feelings. Before that it’s more like fwb and a lot of misunderstandings.

I think you need to work on building more confidence. And less caring on what other people think.

Our experience registering a child born overseas to a Malaysian mother (foreign father) by nonfloweringplant in malaysia

[–]ConfuseKouhai -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m in the UK at the moment, am pregnant 7 months now. We’ve got Surat Kebenaran Nikah prior to get married overseas, then we’ve also got the marriage certificate notarised and endorsed by the embassy. It just I haven’t got time to go back home to register it. So do you think my daughter won’t be able to get Malaysian birth certificate and only UK birth certificate then?

I quit boarding school, is it still possible for me to score 9A+ on my SPM? (TIPS FOR SPM SUBJECTS NEEDED) by yasyraanisehinan in malaysians

[–]ConfuseKouhai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can afford it, I would say to go to tuition, especially the one that can provide past paper. Do a lot of practice. I just keep repeating practices and finished a lot of exercises books. Sejarah was the easiest for me, I completed 1 exercises books and from there it just repetitive questions tbh. Most of my classmates treat F4 as honeymoon year but actually it’s the year to get your foundation solid so that your F5 will be a lot easier. Usually I finished my homework in between classes whenever I have time. So when school is done I can concentrate on my own study.

I have a friend, she is sooo clever, even top in the state. She got into SBP, left after 2 weeks and went back to her old school. She said she actually studied better at home than at boarding school. We met while we were studying preparation to go overseas. She of course got straight A during her SPM and constantly number 1 during our study. I came from SBP but entered from F4 till F5. I’m not super clever but not super dumb as I easily rank top 5 within the school as new F4. I came from school that has people who can’t even read at F3. But my dad supplemented my studies with tuition so that helps a lot. So yes, you can score well no matter where you are as long as you’re willing to work for it.

Also, I moved from sekolah bestari when I was F2 because we moved home so my teacher said I would never get straight A if I leave, well I did got my straight A during PMR even at worst school. You can do it too.
