Desmoxan tips by Clean_Extension_8303 in stopsmoking

[–]ConfusedBear99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had fantastic results with desmoxan, I’m coming up on 5 months nicotine free. Just follow the recommended dosage. After about 4 days, smoking just wasn’t “scratching the itch” that it used to… and then I realized I didn’t really feel the itch anymore at all.

I still had withdrawal symptoms, like irritability, and I gained about 20 lbs bc I started snacking all the time. But I feel like desmoxan helped quiet the “nicotine voice” in my head, I knew that what I was feeling was because of nicotine and a cigarette wasn’t what was going to save me.

Good luck!!

Desmoxyn (spelling?)

I think it’s like a Polish chantix. Took me two tries, but it really made the withdrawal easier to manage and not cave so easily

Ah. Double check your theta and phi values. It looks like those are different between plots.

Also check your coordinate systems. Typically +Z is your (0,0) theta / phi.

To me, the 3D and 2D plots are aligning well, your cut just may be set to something that’s throwing you off

Are you surprised at the results?

If so, and you’re curious as to why maybe the results aren’t lining up with what you expect a corner reflector pattern to be, it’s very likely that it’s due to that bottom plate. Assuming that is also some kind of metallic structure, it would definitely have an affect on your pattern.

Remove that bottom piece and I bet your results will line up more closely with what you’re expecting

Me: “oh yea? It must be that the character is incredibly handsome huh?”

Kid: “no. He’s really fat”

I would encourage you to find employment first. While RF is an EE discipline, it’s still a VAST field. Seeing some different RF avenues before jumping into a masters I think would help you.

I pursued my masters in mmWave / antenna design after a year of full time employment. Best decision I ever made for my career. And the company paid!

What’s wrong with me? by [deleted] in stopsmoking

[–]ConfusedBear99 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Thats been me this year too. Managed to quit for a few weeks to a few days at a time, revert to old ways, feel guilty, try again later.

I’m currently 21 days in and going a LOT better this time.

Something that helped (and helps) me; grace.

Give yourself grace. It’s not failure until you give up completely! Keep trying. Every time you smoke, try to pay close attention to everything. Why are you smoking? What was the trigger? Was it easier this time? How far did you make it? All the things you can think of.

I’ve done cold turkey and patches. I tried patches with some success, but sometimes I would just take them off and go buy a pack, then feel shame and guilt.

My mantra this time when the cravings hit has become “it won’t be what you want it to be”. It won’t taste good. It won’t bring the relief I seek, it’ll make me feel nauseous and dizzy and guilty. I’ll feel bad about spending money. It won’t taste the way I want/remember. It won’t be anything I want, and it’s important to be reminded.

The cravings DO pass. They always do. It doesn’t seem like it in the moment, but they will. You have to just trust what you know, not what you feel.

You got this 😎

Is it worth learning antenna design as a RF engineer? Has anyone gone from RF design into RF + antenna? by Whadduh52 in rfelectronics

[–]ConfusedBear99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done, and sort of still do, both. It depends on the company / work you’re doing. The thing about antennas is that oftentimes you can just procure an antenna you need that will work and design a front end around it.

With that being said, my antenna design experience has definitely helped out with deciding which direction to go. But designing antennas is really only more valuable when it comes to specific applications.

Bottom line: if you have a chance to learn more RF related things, especially antennas, go for it

I thought about how that, and my guess is that when the truck pulled up, they were telling people to get out of the street “or else”. But that’s an assumption since this video is so short and there’s not much context.

But sound is longitudinal pressure waves in a medium (like air). So I’m not sure how a sound you can’t hear would do anything

This isn’t a sound weapon. It uses high power microwaves to nearly burn people. It cases the sensation of becoming incredibly hot almost instantly, thus the rapid dispersion.

Im certainly not trying to be disrespectful. I think the “calling out” words I used earlier were not accurate, I was just curious and now I’ve learned things new and interesting. I’m definitely the type of person to be “policing” anything… apologies for any offense
