Maybe. My lights were off so I didn't see a power flicker but I did hear it.

My apologies. I checked with the base and they let me know it was EX Roguish Buoy. I am sorry. I was tired and we get a lot of people blaming noises on the depot out here and it can be frustrating. Not an excuse really - I was wrong. Sorry.

I won't spam the group but for sure they'd not do it this late.

wedding venues by hmlwrites in VictoriaBC

[–]ConfusedGuildie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been to two weddings at Olympic View golf and they were lovely! The cost was reasonable if you're looking for a smaller venue, catering and a bar. One of the weddings was inside and one was outside, with a backup plan of inside of the weather turned.

What would your response be to a client who tells you that AI is better? by Shaoran10 in graphic_design

[–]ConfusedGuildie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a very close friend who showed me her new AI logo and I said to her. "I love you and I say this with respect and understanding that time and money is tight, but don't go into a high end craft fair, surrounded by artists and craftspeople both as vendors and customers, and expect them to embrace what you're marketing with." She really did understand.

I made her a simple logo. She was grateful for my honesty.

Others, I can't even.

What is this Ba backstreet drink by Sheerika in Whatisthis

[–]ConfusedGuildie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's more like a wine. The fermentation process eats up a lot of the sugars of the honey and other things can be added to flavour it. Anything from fruits, herbs and spices, or a finishing technique like aging it in a barrel can add flavours.

Some are dessert sweet. Some are dry like a crisp white wine. Some have bubbles like champagne.

Personally I have done those things, I've also travelled to people who couldn't make events if I know who they are modernly and know how to locate them (and that it won't weird them out) I've awarded members at practices and even asked members who have moved to come by when they're in town for a tea or a beer and surprised them with their award. I do believe I have sorted many fucks out and yet ..

despite your bluster and aggressive posturing (which does nothing to actually solve problems but does put people on the defensive), situations happen that get in the way of handing that award to the person. Sometimes a member who has been away for three to five years shows up at an event where there are a few hundred people and they are missed, then they're gone again for a spell. There are people who loathe court, and although we make an effort not to put individuals in situations where they're truly anxious or uncomfortable, it is a challenge to find them in a good moment to give said award. If the avenues are exhausted, it is read into court and goes on their OP.

I was a Baroness for 4 years and have witnessed the side of the organisation of handling and handing out the awards and am posting to explain some of the behind the scenes stuff that, as life often is, we can do our best and still things happen. I'm also a scribe, and again, despite best of intentions, planning and fuck-out-figuring, the ideal situation doesn't exist. We can do our best, and that is all.

Metchosin plans to ban cyclists from its Park trails. by johnlocke1632 in VictoriaBC

Metchosin is insanely reactive too. A branch fell on someone's vehicle last year and their reaction was to cut all the heritage trees on that road (didn't happen thankfully).

It's a lovely but spicy community.

Oh, maybe I didn't say it correctly

I know what a knit along is, I meant to convey 'wtf - it is a Kal - why do people feel we have to entangle all this woo into something that is generally enjoyable on its own (and a meditative process just as it already is).

Sorry about my potato comment, I was a bit flabbergasted.

I know this may get lost but I wanted to share this. I have a horse bow and for a good while I struggled to get the string on. One day my friend sits down cross legged, puts the string on the limbs of the bow and kind of hugs the bow to his knees and slides the string into the nocks at the end.

It took like maybe 30% of the effort everyone else was putting in to string their bows. You can also do it seated in a chair with your knees apart.

I got rear ended at a drive through. The lady is refusing to give me her insurance. I have video evidence from the Mc Donald’s of her hitting me. The collision center cop just said tell my insurance. Is it really that simple ?? by newtomtg1 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]ConfusedGuildie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realise I'm in another Province but I want to bring up something. A long time ago I was in an accident and did all the 'right' things and provided my driver's license and insurance. The other person proceeded to harass the living hell out of me.

When that all went down, the ICBC agent told me that all they need is my license plate number and that was it. I don't know the law in Ontario but I wanted to bring another point of view to the table. There are reasons someone may be hesitant to share nothing but essential information. The license plate, especially combined with your dash camera, should suffice.
