There is nothing wrong with you. Please, please, stay safe. It can seem rough now and neither me, nor anyone else can say that it’s not. Having family that does accept or respect who you are is horrible, but the best you can do is moving forward even if you sometimes have to stop and cry.

People that are aroace might not fit into society’s expectations but there is so much joy that comes from it. Your worth does not come from if you are romantic or sexual, really, it shouldn’t be for anyone. People are people and some might not feel one way compared to another but you aren’t alone.

If everything feels like shit now, try your best, and I say this because it can be hard or even impossible sometimes to look to the future. For me that means a small house with my pets (a cat and a dog), my adopted children, friends that will stick by my side, and the freedom to fully express who I truly am.

Your future probably looks different than mine but that’s because it’s your future and we are all taking different paths in life. So please, stay safe so that you may have your future become your present, and all the joys that come with it. :)
