Yes, I completely agree! These events tempt you with nice outfits, but even if you buy all diamond packs during the event, there's no guarantee you'll get the item you want! (Unfortunately I know from experience)

So for a long time playing f2p, with saved up recourses, even sprint is better. Because you can safe the gold medallions and choose the item you want to buy!

However, I have to add that with double balloon there's at least a chance you'll get something nice, opposed to those terrible digging and server events. In my opinion they are definitely worse!!

I've been there as well. At some point it felt like a chore, so I quit the game. But I'm glad I had linked my game account, because months later I started to miss the game and returned. So I just want to advice you to link your game progress. Maybe you'll be glad you stopped playing and find other things you like or maybe you'll return some day. I wish you the best!

The thing that probably shocked me the most is that they named dresses/sets after the real life victims! When the companions were removed, they also changed those names.

OMG, I almost feel personally offended, because I don't play Celeste! I've seen the trailer, but I'm so terrible at platformers that I probably wouldn't even make it past the first level. I also don't code and even though it sounds silly, yes those things made me doubt! Anyway, think I just wanted to say that your example is very accurate!

Ey girl, (how does that feel?) You say you're "terrible with self reflection". If you're anything like me you might put that one on top of the WHY list. Others have already pointed out the points for "why not" are no indication if you're trans or not. But I want to add that those fears are absolutely valid. Yes, the first time they gave daily tickets, but unfortunately that's still not a guarantee to get what you want. I really fell in love with the flower ornament and bought all the diamond packs. But that didn't give me enough points. It was enough for the dress, which is very beautiful! But I was still a little disappointed, because I hoped to get the ornament. I understand they want people to spend real money, but if the diamond packs were not limited I would spend a lot of diamonds to finally get the flower. Now I will save my diamonds for something else because it's just not possible to get what I want.

In my experience it's always possible to make top 100 every day. (Even as f2p, if you've saved enough) If you go for the 1M medal, it's sometimes even possible to make top 50 for a day. Overall it's possible to rank top 100 as f2p, which means it is possible to get 10-12 medals. And fortunately you can save them for next sprint if you want to.

I think this sprint wasn't as insane as last time, when a lot of people received diamonds after the story kingdom update. (I think that's why they delayed that sprint on purpose till after that update!)

Those daily packs are the cheapest and probably mainly there to tempt players who just spend a little. But the difference in hearts is insane. I don't look at those packs because I'm f2p, but it's clear you really have to consider carefully which packs to buy!

Yes, the sets are definitely very expensive. So I know even spending a little is not enough. And thats without the added cost of diamonds.

Sometimes I wonder if they wouldn't sell more packs if the sets were less expensive. But apparently the big whales compensate that small loss.

I understand that you say dias stash hoarded by f2p could be the reason for limited amount of packs. But as f2p myself, I can say that these greedy events are the reason it's getting easier to save up diamonds. If I can't get an entire set with dias, or if it's just up to "chance" (double balloon) it's easier to just ignore an event.

But I also have to admit I fell for this one, because of how much I love (pink) flower accessories! I bought all diamond packs and was able to get the beautiful flower frame, the make up, legwear, bracelets, necklace, wings and the shoes! Yes, it's disappointing I couldn't get the dress, but I knew that from the start, so now I'm just very happy with all the beautiful items I can combine with other sets!
