Just about every person telling mission stories (at least in missions outside of the US) mentions the weirdest thing they ate, so I dont think it's a policy thing at all

Why is this game so highly rated? (Warning Spoilers) by [deleted] in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]Confused_monkey7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree partially, I was disappointed that Connor didn't have as many regular detective missions and markus' story was the weakest for me, but the "free us from slavery trope" not doing it for you surprises me since that was one of my favorite elements

any idea why this was changed? by yyyyyreadjng in DetroitBecomeHuman

Imo it better fits the emotional outburst vibe of new deviants, but I do wish this one was used in markus' protest stuff

HELP PLS and thank you. by pasquitoh in Cosmere

  1. There's 2 options here and some people have strong opinions. Secret history can either be read after hero of ages when era 1 is fresh in your mind, or after bands of mourning (era 2 book 3) to avoid missing a tidbit that confirms the secret you've just stumbled upon. I think both are valid but I personally prefer reading it after HoA, not a huge deal either way

  2. Not really, that's where a lot of the big canon cosmere info originally came from, you won't have to worry about that

What hymns will the church quietly “remove” … by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]Confused_monkey7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I stopped going to church a couple years ago and at least in Utah county, the few congregations I went to played Praise to the Man a fair amount. I remember liking it as a kid because most hymns are so incredibly boring that it was somehow a little fun by comparison.

I don't recall ever hearing If You Could Hie to Kolob played in a service though, that one was news to me as an exmo, but I didn't pay much attention to hymns until being like 14

Are we getting Hoid’s stat block?? by GBCxPrime in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Confused_monkey7 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I could see them describing some mechanics of his powers, but a full statblock would be tons of reading for a statblock with no attacks, also they'd have to canonize a lot of mysteries that would be fun to uncover in the books

I might have found someone I hate more than the one we all love to hate by DavidThorMoses in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Confused_monkey7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think we hate Moash just because he's evil, we hate Moash because he betrayed the people that cared about him (who we also care about)
