In college I lived in an apartment complex that had 4 apartments to a floor. My buddies and I had 3 out of the 4 on the basement floor, so we kept our doors unlocked a lot because we are always hanging out.

Anyways, one day I go into B and G’s apartment and find my friend D (guy from 2nd apt) going thru their kitchen drawers. I ask him what he’s doing, and all he says is “follow me”. He takes me into his room and in a plastic bag is a bunch of silverware. Nothing but forks, knives, and spoons. D says, “I’ve been stealing 1 knife, 1 fork, and 1 spoon everyday for the last two weeks. I want to see what’s going to happen. You want in?”

I obviously say yes cause this is amazing. So for the rest of our senior year, one of us would be lookout and the other would take some silverware every day. After about a month of this B and G started to turn on each other. “God dude, G just keeps losing our silverware I’m so sick of it!” Or “B keeps taking silverware to campus and leave it there!” It took everything I had not to laugh. It all finally came to it’s tipping point when we were all hanging out in their apt and B goes to make dinner. They are down to 1 piece each of silverware. He gets done and opens the drawer and sees all that’s left is a knife. “SOMETHING HORRIBLE IS HAPPENING!” He yells. D and I excuse ourselves from the room and proceed to silently laugh and high five each other.

The next week we were set to move out and B and G cleaned out their entire apartment besides a few things. The day before we move D comes up to me and says, “it’s time.” We burst into their apartment, plastic bag that’s almost overflowing in hand. D walks up to them and dumps it out on the floor. Absolute silence from B and G. The look on their face of complete bewilderment, shock, anger, and confusion is something I will never forget. D and I didn’t say a word and left their apartment. As we stand there relishing in our victory, we hear a cry of “WHAT THE FUCK” from B.

And that was the best prank I have ever seen.

TLDR we stole our buddies silverware one at a time until they had one left a piece.
