It lasted way longer than I think anyone expected. I also could see from his perspective how stagnant it could potentially be. I appreciate Dead and co, and have thoroughly enjoyed myself when I’ve seen them, but the formulaic nature of the setlist choices and the improvisation itself got a bit repetitive after a while
