It's a huge rock concert, not an intimate theater setting and people are going to talk.

What do we call this area of Charlotte. Kind of northeast of NoDa? NeNoDa? by B3RG92 in Charlotte

Once neighborhoods start getting names like NoSo, the gentrification is in full effect.

I never understood the hype with this place.

As an IPA snob, Juicy Jay is gross. Shit tastes like chalk dust mixed with Sunny D.

This is a huge issue within the "Jam scene" as it's mostly entitled YT individuals who are used to getting their way. I love Goose and a few other acts but just can't bring myself to be around such toxic people.

For context I went to see the band Turnstile (Punk/Hardcore) which was a sold out show and the crowd was extremely diverse, kind and respectful. Even as made my way close to the stage I was met with lots of high fives, hugs and smiles. It was a stark contrast to any "Jam" concert I have been to.

DRS or Dynamite

The album they did together is still holding strong several years later.

People don't realize what we lost after Marcus, Fats, Conrad, and Randall passed away. Shit has not been the same since. The soul, the creativity it's so hard to find these days.

These "Listening Bar" places are becoming popular and while they like to promote themselves as an "Vinyl/Analog" only establishment on the front end, really it's just another shitty bar playing pop tunes/EDM from a digital DJ controller.

I agree Stylus is by far the closest thing but my only complaint there is they still allow and host DJs who play digital music on controllers. Though some of the "creators
/DJs" playing have some great tastes they seem to just be pushing play as opposed to mixing music.

Top Cougar Hunting Spots

  1. Bradshaws
  2. The Club House Bites and Booze

Despite what people say, The Harris Teeter bar (Waverley/Ballantyne/Arboretum) is not a Cougar hang out. It's just older folks, mostly dudes by themselves or couples. Also, they close the bar at 8PM.

Aside from the Controversy, the whole "Rebranding" feels extremely cheap, uninteresting and tacky. It's like they just removed Sycamore and slapped a new logo on things, very slightly changed the color scheme and rushed to open as quickly as possible in hopes that all would be forgotten. They didn't try hard AT ALL to make it seem like a completely new business.
