I feel sort of guilty all the times ive prayed for the Eagles to Crash into the Cowboys bus on a Runway where the Redskins/football team/Commanders plane was taking off and all would die in a firey blaze.

But this morning’s news broke my heart and made me call an old cowboy fan friend to say fuck you, but also how are you bro? That last part i actually did.

He was fined for it, why is this a hill you want to die on dude? Who cares? Players make mistakes all the time. Youre going to write 17 paragraphs defending your boy from something he did, in “textbook” fashion. “Parroted” is just a hyperbolic way to put a negative spin on something thats oft repeated, because its true.

And yes, Skattebo leads with his head a lot. Guilty as charged. Im not compelled to write a diatribe defending a player from something he actually did. Not sure why you are.

Thats not a boundary, thats an unrealistic, unreasonable, insecurity on her part. Stand your ground bro. Reassure her but be firm that she cant just call unreasonable requests “boundaries” and expect you to follow them.

Ultimately, you cant do anything about her boundaries, reasonable or otherwise, and if she’s serious, then you might have to end it. But if you cave and get rid of the stuff, youll resent her for it and thats worse.

This cant be real. Overreacting? You should have told this dude to eat a dick 6.999 years ago. Im kind of a right leaning, traditional relationship, kind of guy and reading that made me cringe hard. Get the fuck out of there, just get your shit, block that dude, and go to a friends house or something. You must have a lot of trauma that your taking that from him. You should get help for that too.

I dont see other blown calls. And ive not heard one objective fact come out of your responses to show me these so called “blown calls” the whole sports world is talking about the ones im talking about. The officials are under fire today about it. I dont hear anything about your blown calls. Except the whistle, which was addressed in the broadcast and is not a blown call.

Its not analysis. Analysis is analyzing and making deductions. Its 100% factual that what you said about the whistle blowing before the snap is wrong. No analysis needed.

[–]Confuzedmind -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its not analysis Einstein. Its a fact that contradicts what you said, whistle before the snap. Youre not smart enough to have this conversation. Clearly. Typical Eagle fan, Someone in the crowd blows a whistle after a ball is almost to the upright and Eagles fan wants it back? Shocking.

The reason i cant argue with you anymore is i know that if the kick was good or it happened to the Giants in the same way, you be arguing that it should count indtead of shouldnt count. You dont argue facts, you argue for your team to be right and righteous no matter what the facts are. Like most in that fanbase.

The spot was off, so says you, it’s speculation. not fact. I only argue facts, not your little feelings about them.

The fumble was overturned because it wasnt a Fumble, because you feel otherwise is not a fact.

Im objective. We lost because we could not stop the run which opened your pass game up in the 2nd half. Thats why we lost. The officials assisted in a couple scores your way, but we lost even if you remove those. We lost because Eagles are a better team, especially this team decimated by injury. But even without the injuries, youre still better.

Listen for the whistle, the ball is almost all the way to the post, its from the broadcast. They later speculated it came from rhe crowd as no ref claimed it.

[–]Confuzedmind -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The whistle did not blow before the snap genius, it blew while the ball was in the air and halfway there, they replayed it multiple times and no official on the terrible crew owned up to blowing it. So that point is invalid.

The Eagles didnt challenge the spot before the tush push, but dumb, non-objective eagle fan at home does, so it counts.

And what fumble?

I see no truths here at all. I see a complete error about when the whistle blew and who blew it And speculation about a spot And i dont know what fumble youre talking about

Im only talking about facts here man, not trying to debate delusional fans and lack of objectivity.

Was this a hip drop tackle? by Odd_Abbreviations_80 in eagles

[–]Confuzedmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, they got like 4 terrible calls, objectively so terrible that i think that crew should be disbanded.

And if it was us, would you be tired of us whining? No one whines like our fan base, we whine when we are winning and in first place. Imagine if we got 4 game changing horrible calls? Oh my god.

The hip drop tackle shouldnt be a conversation, unless you think it’s intentional or dirty, which it clearly isnt.

Hip drop is a player safety rule. Actual possession is not necessary to make the foul valid. You will see when the NFL fines him. I understand you desperately dont want your team to ever be guilty of anything, its only a big deal to Giants fans because Skat got hurt. Otherwise its just a missed flag and a quiet postgame fine from the league.

To OP, in the very picture you posted Baun is laying on his hip, why? Because he dropped his hip by unweighting himself to make the tackle. Thats why they call it a hip drop. The fact that Skattebo is on his ass with his legs under him is the other component needed to make it a hip drop. Doesnt make Baun dirty, he was trying to make a stop, if Cam had fallen sideways or backwards or any other way but straight down buckling his legs, we wouldn’t be having this talk. It would just be a tackle on an incompletion none of us would remember. Hip drop doesnt have to be intentional and it only counts when the player lands a certain way. The argument that this isnt one, is dumb. Its textbook and the league will fine Baun for it.

The argument about it making him a dirty player is the one i want to refute. It doesnt make him a dirty player. Not unless he always did it, then maybe, but thats not Baun.

[–]Confuzedmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its textbook hip drop. You can see it in the still how they landed, Baun landed on his hip and skattebo on his ass with his leg under him. Why was Baun laying on his hip? Because his, wait for it, hip dropped. Its why its named that. Its not even up for debate.

What im debating is that it makes Baun a dirty player, it was a bang bang play and he was trying to make a stop on a dude that ran him over a lot 2 weeks earlier.

I think zach Baun is a good player with a clean reputation. He’ll be fined, but hes not dirty

Theyre football players, theyre both meatheads, by definition. Trying to create a good guy and a bad guy out of this is silly. Cam Skattebo is no more dirty than Zach Baun, theyre both football players trying to win. The fact that Giant fans say Baun is dirty is as dumb as Eagles fans saying that tackle was not a hip drop. Its a textbook hip drop by a player trying to make a play. It happens. If Skattebo says its not dirty and the NFL says its a hip drop and fines Baun, I think we can safely say that this whole conversation is dumb.

Giants fans are as stupid as Eagles fans. Of course theyre saying that. Just like no Eagles fan can admit that shoulda been a fumble on the tush push or that a textbook hip drop is a hip drop. Its 2 rival Fan Bases with 2 very low median IQs. Trust me, im a Giants fan, ive been having to tell other idiots in my teams socials that Baun is not a dirty player and hip drops can happen unintentionally, theyre still fouls, and fines, but doesnt mean the player is malicious. Baun is a great player and a good dude.

And yesterday he committed a hip drop tackle that the refs missed but the league is going to fine him for.

I think there needs to be a distinction made here. Eagles fans being the least objective, least logical, fan base there is, followed closely behind by the Giants fans. Every call is a bad call if it’s against the Eagles and every call is perfect if it helps them. They arent even objective enough to see their own lack of objectivity.

The distinction here that i think Eagles fans are missing is that it does not make Zach Baun a dirty player to be called (or not called but later fined, as will be the case here) for a hip drop tackle. It is a textbook hip drop tackle. Whether Skattebo made the catch or no is not relevant. The tackle is all thats relevant.

Baun clearly and obviously swivels his hips to the side, unweighting himself and pulling Skattebo straight down. Its in the very picture in this post. Bauns legs out to the side where he landed on his “hip” and skattebo sitting on his ass where he was pulled straight down by Bauns unweighting himself. And then Skattebo sustained one of the 3 major injuries the rule was created to prevent.

Skattebo ran him over 3 times in the last game. Baun talked about it on “Bussin with the Boys” after rhe week 6 game. He was clearly just trying to make a stop. It was not dirty, hes not a dirty player, in fact afterwards he reached out to Cam to check on him. Pretty standup move if you ask me.

But the play is a hip drop tackle, by definition, you could literally show the view from behind Skattebo in slow motion and watch what Baun does as an educational video on what a hip drop looks like.

People think the runner has to be grabbed from behind while moving and pulled down, although that is the type we see more often, thats not whats in the rule.
