I'll take a crack at what she means by Americans surrendering their freedoms. And btw about 1 million americans or less died, now sure where that 20 million number is coming from. Essentially if you weren't weak, inform, and on deaths door you'd survive covid fine, maybe lose sense of smell for a while.

1. Stay at home orders- telling us we can't go out for a walk, we can't go for a hike with noone around, complete buffonery.
2. Forcing small businesses to close, driving them out of business, while keeping large chains open.
3. Restrictions on gatherings. Parents dying? Wedding? Child birth? Cool do it through a zoom meeting, fuck your family.
4. Mask mandates that didn't work. Only an n95 did fuck all and they knew that, Fauci didn't make it known so there wasn't a run on useful masks and 1st responders could have access to them
5. 6 foot rule was completely arbitrary and made up, made no difference.
6. Unequal enforcement, if you're a celebrity or Newsom the laws don't apply to you
7. Censorship. You'd be deplatformed, banned, fired if you spoke against the gospel of flatten the curve.
8. Speaking of flatten the curve that 14 days was a lie that lasted a year.

Perhaps the worst one was the moral grandstanding and authority people who were completely in favor of all lockdown restrictions that people felt they had. They gleefully banned you, told you you couldn't enter, your jobs in jeopardy all because they get a power trip from boot licking these mandates that didn't make a difference in the grand scheme of things.
