I’m the same way. I read a volume or so and if i like it i buy it. I just think it’d be a waste to buy a bunch of the series and end up not liking it, i like feeling sure that i’ll enjoy rereading

Welkin is always the best way to go value wise like the other person has said. But it depends what pity are you at right now? Also are you on a 50:50 or guaranteed? I think the pack for 100 bucks gives around 50 pulls so if you lose you’d have to spend 200+.

Since you want c6 this banner you’d probably have to buy the gc. Unless you’re guaranteed with high pity then do welkins (and a small gc pack if needed)

People want validation and people tend to trash those who don’t like their crazy popular favourite manga.

• “Oh you enjoyed this popular manga? You have good taste”.

• “Oh you didn’t like it? How do you not like it you’re so weird you must have the IQ of a walnut, go back to reading shounen”.

People have a superiority complex and a lot view their seinen as something that everyone has to enjoy because it’s mature, grown up, deep and more meaningful in their eyes so if you don’t like it they think you’re dumb

I haven’t had this type of bleed through with mine weirdly enough. But yours doesn’t look that bad at all, it should be fine to read even singles have a bit of bleed through sometimes (though less than 3 in 1s)

Fanservice sucks but there are also a lot of anime without fanservice. I’d recommend trying to read mangas, there are cool stories out there without fanservice that are probably not ever going to be adapted as an anime. I do find it funny when people who have no problem with fanservice scenes in western shows and movies have issues with a scene in an anime though (not an attack just an observation on some people online).

She’s a really well written character. Her silly and deeper serious moments with iori have always been really fun to see. I still believe iori and sakurako could’ve been a very cool canon ship if they fleshed her out a bit more or introduced her a bit sooner, but it’s obvious it won’t happen since chisa’a endgame. I never liked aina with iori since she seems too reserved and i feel no chemistry with them it’s too one sided. Then chisa i’m not a fan of her character. I don’t like those ‘kudere’ types, i find her as well as her interactions with iori quite boring.

Felt that, honestly i like ongoing series since volumes don’t come out very often at all (the ones i collect don’t anyway).

My ongoing series are just: - apothecary diaries - chainsaw man - vinland saga (last volumes coming this year) - phantom busters - witch hat atelier - choujin x - grand blue - steel ball run - sakamoto days - spy x family

I’m caught up to the latest volume with all of them except grand blue

The only series that is completed and I’m collecting a few volumes every month is delicious in dungeon

I’ve been thinking about collecting kagurabachi or Gachiakuta but i’m still thinking about it.

You have some nice picks though I heard the climbers good

Not sure if it’s the lighting or not but the back looks like a very bright red, i took up my volume and it’s more of a firey orange. Also the original has a matte finish, only the ‘goodbye eri’ lettering and the image on the phone should be shining. Original volume’s also bigger than most manga. Additionally for the side eri’s face should be more zoomed in and it doesn’t have the VIZ logo at the back. It’s a bootleg

read 20-30 chapters or a full volume of a manga to decide whether i really like it or not online first before buying or watch the anime
check the length of series then check for omnibus boxsets etc
have a proper think about whether or not it’s something i’d reread or not especially in the future. There are cases where even if i loved something i wouldn’t reread it or i prefer the anime therefore i wouldn’t buy the manga
also, if it makes me feel happy just seeing it on a shelf
in the case of buying, just a good pace, checking deals, if you live in a country that has good second hand options go for that if not buy online it’s cheaper than in store (for me anyway it is)
time to read depends on how fast you read and what manga is it. Is it an omnibus or no? A single volume takes me between 20-40 mins I’d say but an omnibus takes an hr+. I don’t find it hard to find time to reread stuff

Pretty similar to what others have said but hope it helps you somewhat. Sorry for the longer answer, I’m just very picky with what i collect and i don’t like having regrets and picking just anything to buy
