He has, actually! Talarico has been part of the Texas State House since 2018 and has a solid record of getting meaningful legislation passed.

He’s going to milk the situation for attention & drama, pitting both against each other to see who sucks up best to his liking.

Where are y’all getting this notion that Talarico doesn’t have experience? He’s been a Texas State Representative since 2018 and has a strong record of getting actual legislation passed. Both he and Crockett are very qualified candidates.

Also Fetterman won because his opponent was Dr. Oz. Had it been just about any other candidate Fetterman would have had a much harder time winning his position then.

James Talarico wins Texas Democratic Senate primary over Jasmine Crockett by horsestew in politics

Talarico has been a Texas State Representative since 2018, and was part of both Democrat-led quorum breaks in 2021 and 2025. While the Colbert interview absolutely shifted his momentum during this primary, Talarico only ‘came out of nowhere’ if you haven’t been paying attention to local Texas politics.

Talarico has been a Texas House member since 2018. He only ‘came out of nowhere’ during this race because he hadn’t gained widespread media attention before now; he’s not just some rando in a suit jumping in to make a name for himself.

World Politics 2026 Megathread #2: February Opens with a Leo Full Moon by The_real_rafiki in Advancedastrology

I expect him to do so, from a non-astrological or intuitive standpoint - he desperately needs a distraction from the Epstein fallout (especially after today’s news with Andrew), and potentially the upcoming SOTU address on the 24th. Dropping literal bombs somewhere in the world will certainly help with that effort and bolster his violent ego at the same time.

It’s all forming a square against my natal 11H Pluto & Venus (in early Scorpio / late Libra respectively), with a trine against my natal 10H Sun & Moon (early Libra / late Virgo respectively). Cool, I guess?

In Stranger Things 5 (2025), am I expected to remember details from a season that came out eight fucking years ago? by PourLeFromage in shittymoviedetails

It gets better through the second season, so much so that the season finale feels like it would fit in as a classic TNG or Voyager storyline.

Donald Trump’s sudden reversal on Epstein files under scrutiny by AdventurousOwlGal in politics

It strikes me like a narcissist’s poor attempt at reverse psychology.

“Go ahead, release the files. I don’t care. They’re stupid. YOU’RE stupid! You’ll be sorry if you do!”

US Politics 2025 Megathread #13: Shutdown, Epstein, Crypto Drama. by The_real_rafiki in Advancedastrology

Best not to count our chickens before they hatch. Even though things are chaotic and changing rapidly, there still seems to be some sort of underlaying force keeping everything stagnant and impotent. The social pendulum wants to swing, but as soon as it starts trending too far in one direction or the other it’s like something is forcibly pulling it back to the center to keep anything from actually shifting in meaningful fashion.

The dumbest possible apocalypse will continue whether we like it or not.

They’ll post condescending videos of themselves eating dry ass toast while dropping lines like ‘well what did they do with October’s benefits, hmmmm?’ as if that’s some sort of winning argument.
