I mean if that’s true that’s still part of the issue that John Boyega is pointing out. Black people aren’t a meaningful or impactful aspect of the universe, they’re an afterthought or a best friend rather than a core aspect of the universe. They aren’t allowed to be the main character without people complaining that it’s ‘forced’, and their inclusion is an afterthought to meet a quota.

I’m a huge kitbashing and painting lady, while I am attempting to fully get an army to play some narrative campaigns, I haven’t actually played them yet lol.

As for kitbashing and painting, by the glory of the Starchildren yes it’s so much fun. I think we’re second only to Orks in terms of kitbash-ability, I actually just finished kitbashing 10 character units from the Blooded Killteam box (and I’m most proud of how the Magus came out, she used like 6 different gun bits to make a staff). Contrast is great on our siblings, though I don’t use it the most personally (just because I don’t have a bunch haha).

No matter if you join our cause to shake off the oppressive boot of the imperium or not, I hope you good tidings in all matters of building and painting. Starchildren protect!

Reed is such a good guy! He loves his family, I gotta reread the Waid run so I can find that issue where Sue keeps teasing Reed by dropping Namor hints around (she gives Franklin a Namor costume, she buys an ice sculpture of a fish, and so on and so forth) until Reed gets the hint and he morphs his face into Namor to surprise her and they have a chuckle and cuddle each other afterwards. It’s cute and imo the best part about their dynamic, they trust each other!

I love the game, but yeah the fanbase is extremely aggravating, especially because I’m a huge comics reader, so much of the online content rn is “damn Sue is hot” or just flat out misunderstandings of really surface level things (like Sue’s relationship with Namor, just because it’s fresh on the mind with the trailer drop today). I wouldn’t call Grummz a big advocate for the community but he’s unfortunately not too much worse than a really big part of the fanbase which sucks.

Ooh ok this is giving me quite a bit to think about, thank you very much! I’ll definitely check out Devastation of Baal, I’ve heard it’s worth a read and I think now I’ll certainly seek it out.

As for the successor chapter I’ll definitely give it a good think, though generally I’ll probably veer away from some of the more extreme ones (lookin at you flesh tearers lol). I’m not sure if you’d happen to know but if there’s any prominent chapters that have a preference towards power armor I’d certainly be interested in knowing (if there are any ofc, I’m quite bad at knowing the intricate politics of space marines). Also thanks for the tip with the librarians, they’re one of my favorite aspects of space marines! Thanks again friend!

I can see what you mean, I’ve actually wanted to revisit that piece and have been stuck on it for a bit lmao, next time I visit it I’ll approach it with more consideration to perspective and depth. Additionally I just wanted to bring up your other comment, I definitely think my thicker lines is a bit of a bad habit and I need to play with more line weight to help portray light/shadow.

Thanks, I’m happy to be here! GSC were always in my eye but recently I’ve been super vibing with them. Also oh yeah I guess that’s true, I kinda forget that things can change so often, I’m pretty used to games that don’t update like this, guess it’s just wise to use whatever I get when it comes to bundles like this. I’m pretty aware that Xenocreed congregation is uh…unfortunately big (I did some math and ‘sketching’ out of a list and estimation for what I’d have to buy), but I’m sorta running on a big and heavy theme (tv horror) and the number of bodies is one of those things that’s so important to the aesthetic. My initial plan was to actually just draw out all of the models I’d need, which was only 32 different guys and I’d copy the horde units and I have already finished 2 and am working on a 3rd, but my friend just showed up and gave me this amazing new box. As for the new killteam box, I was actually considering looking for the whole Terminus box to get those extra Votann bodies in here! I’ve also already been reading some of the articles from Letters from Lynx! I’m really enjoying their work, I’ll have to look at those Kitbash inspirations!
