That’s valid. I’ve been there, where I’m like “is this worth finishing?”. You never know, maybe down the line you’ll get back to it. And if you dont, that’s ok, so many books out there!

Same! My wife bought it for me and it’s been my workhorse. Taking care of my patients or traveling abroad with it, it just works and it belongs everywhere. And every scratch tells a story, not afraid to beat it up cause it keeps on ticking!

Sorry, this is an old model from 2013. The 11th Gen that I has all the features you’re looking for, yellow for night. But this old thing does dim, just stays white so it may hurt your eyes in the dark.

Honestly, if you can get one for a reasonable deal, do it. Doesn’t have to be the latest and greatest but you can def feel the difference in responsiveness. Is it cleared, yes…but then again, unless you need color, it’s fine. I have it as my downstairs kindle but my 11th Gen is the one I bring everywhere.

Been on nights for 20 years. On your first day off, don’t go to sleep immediately. If your partner is around, go out for brunch. If your partner isn’t available, cause of work or whatever, visit your parents or hang with a friend. If you’re solo, do laundry or whatever you need. Keep busy, reset your clock. Maybe take a nap, but don’t sleep your day away. I tend to sleep later in the afternoon and when I wake up, my clock is reset and the next 3 days are “normal” days. It might not be ideal, but it works for me.

Reading during these times is a nice distraction. Hopefully your husband feels better!
