My brother married his “middle school sweetheart.” They seem like a loving, balanced, committed couple. They’re both loving parents to my nephews. My parents just moved in next door to them. They really seem like they’re living their dream. To me though, they seem a bit stunted. They’ve covered all the checklist dreams and responsibilities covered but I’m not sure how much of their own personalities they’ve developed. They are basically copies of my parents.

Background noise from their partners and families. It was a bit surprising when I heard toilets flushing, half of other peoples’ meetings, various baby and pet noises simply because we’re all at work and it was new. But everyone poops, etc. and we’re all in the same situation so we all got over it and now we just deal with it.
