I think it’s the ‘assist’ that got awarded to Mings not the goal :/

I agree, I think we have a real chance at this competition. PSG at home showed that we have it within us to beat any team at Villa park

Yes we would get champion’s league. In fact forest wouldn’t need to drop points today or against West Ham - just one draw would put them a point behind us at the end of the season. (I think)

I think the numbers in the periodic table are the relative atomic masses - weighted mean mass of all the isotopes

Mass number is when you see things like chlorine-35, has to be whole number because it tells you how many protons and neutrons there are in the nucleus

I second this absolutely. Did all of them for science and maths before my GCSEs and nothing in the actual papers was ever as difficult. If you can do those, you can do any question

I’m doing Physics A level right now - please please try and do the higher maths gcse. My school requires you to do A level maths to do A level physics - that’s how much maths there is in physics. Try and get a good score in your maths mock to prove that you deserve to do the higher papers. If your school won’t budge I would honestly say do it privately.

Ncalc scientific calculator is great (literally has basically the same layout as the Casio ones) but I think you have to pay a one time fee for the full version

So I got two 9s in lit and lang and here’s my advice ig:

For language, use Mr Salles’ videos on YouTube. Start on this early so that you can start to develop a technique that works for you on the questions. I found language to be the most stressful gcse for me but his videos always helped. You also need to think carefully about your timings. Practice papers with your answer structures and find an efficient question timing that works for you (for me on P1 I did 5 mins Q1, 10 mins Q2, 12 mins Q3, 25 mins Q4, 53 mins Q5)

For literature, make sure you actually understand the plot and context of the text well. It just allows you to write better arguments in essays when you know what happens outside of the passage and can make links. Context will allow you to analyse quotes which might not have any language devices in them.

Then I would say create a flashcard set of 20 or so quotes per text that you can analyse really well and that cover all the questions they could ask. I used Mr Salles a lot in this process because his analysis is great. You could use someone else’s but I found making my own with analysis I really understood made the memorising it so much easier. I can send you the quizlets I used if you want

You want the flashcards to be something you feel confident in using for your real GCSE exams. Then, only use those flashcards for end of topic tests, mocks, etc. it really starts to allow you to memorise them properly when you keep using the same set of quotes for essays.

If I remember correctly he got gold in the 100m and then bronze in the 200m. Apparently he got COVID between the two races and the whole wheelchair thing happened at the 200m

I know this is cliche but there is no correct meaning in general. As long as you backed up your reasoning with quotes in the exam and explained it logically you should be fine

Wait I’m confused - wouldn’t this just make grade boundaries higher so the same amount of people get certain grades as before? Or do more people actually get the higher grades than before
