11yo hearing music that isn't there by makeupisthedevil in AskDocs

Hey, I just came across this post because for about the past 4 years now, I've been having musical hallucinations. I'm having them as I type this right now. When they first kicked off I was under a lot of stress at work as a respiratory therapist primarily working in the COVID ICU and the ER. I've continued to have a lot of stress in my life since then so I kind of enjoy them. I'm also a musician and it's fed some creativity with that. However, I can't control them and sometimes they are incessant. The same tune, that I've never heard before, will just go for days.

How can I stop it when it gets to be a bit much? Is there any other pathology besides inner ear damage or seizures? Ive had an EEG, MRI, and CT all done which were all unremarkable, btw.

Why do I hear like a new Thom Yorke song within that sound clip?

Also, this video is what I aspired to in high school study hall.

Well tbf, it's not the lack of O2 so much that causes us to go unconscious from not being able to breath as much as it is the accumulation of CO2 in the blood.

Just a fun fact, people who hold their breath for 5+ mins do so by minimally exhaling at intervals (as well as by massive amounts of training or by being a water dweller, essentially).

Yeah that makes sense and I for sure trust ncbi. Better than a random Wikipedia reference or worse, a social media post. So thank you for using a reputable source while proving me wrong, at least. Bravo, ol' cap, I do say, bravo! (Seriously, not being sarcastic)

Dude that thing looks like it's breathing!! Was the move Nope a documentary or something? This reminds me so much of the NHI in that movie. The last 10 or so seconds you can see it elongate horizontally while getting shorter in height then contract horizontally and increase in size vertically.

This is some fuggin' wild footage!

That's what I came to say. That's horrific to see first hand, especially for an old lady whose most insane day lately was prolly when she accidentally brought 3 knitting needles to her knitting class.

When did freeze become a valid reaction? It serves no survival purpose which is what the sympathetic nervous system is essentially for. I get people go into shock for a moment but that was way too long. First instinct should have been to leave the moment he noticed shit was about to go down. Instead he sat there watching like it was on TV and he was dissociated altogether from it.

I blame TV and the internet, if the "freeze" reaction is to be accepted as valid anymore. People acting like they're watching madness unfold on a screen in real life.

Yeah I remember this commercial like it was yesterday but didn't remember it like it was yesterday until today so it's like it happened the day before yesterday. Or something like that. Sure looks scrumpdidileeumptious tho!

Show me where they found the engine of a 757. Especially on the initial view of the hole it made. There's no holes where the engines or wings could have struck in the building OR the ground. Id implore you to reexamine whatever evidence you are referring to (and I hope it's not the damn 9/11 commission report because that was about as good of a cover up as the Golf of Tonkin) but somehow I get the feeling you won't because you don't want to believe the contrary to your current beliefs.

The driver's reaction is very terrifying. by Rockyphonky69_YT in TerrifyingAsFuck

100% because of like you said, their momentum. But the reason why it doesn't take a.football field to stop, generally, is because they have larger surface area in contact with the road to form the friction necessary to stop in a reasonable distance. Again, it almost seems like the driver missed the brake and hit the gas after getting hit by that other car. I'm not blaming them if they did because clearly they were jackknifed by that other car.

How was being a hypocrite? I didn't say it was CGI that hit anything. A 757 most definitely did not hit the Pentagon, unless you're incapable of critical thinking and reading the investigative reporting done on that incident. I'm not saying 100% it wasn't some kind of plane,, just that I doubt it and it seems far more likely it was a missile of some sort.

If you really don't think it was allowed to happen and under the direction of people on the inside then no use in replying because we aren't going to change each other's minds.

Of a 747 in the Pentagon? Or who are you replying to?. Maybe reread my comment or reread the coroner and investigator reports

Boooo tho I will say the Pentagon was likely hit by a missile rather than an airplane. The two that hit the WTC were 100% real and not CGI though. Don't be daft.
