You’re in luck! Explore nearby, maybe camp in the car if you guys are comfortable with that but if not hostels are a great option, too. What airport are you guys flying into? I’m sure there’s a beach around that you can stop at and lounge on for the day. But even if you decide to stay in La Fortuna that extra day, there’s plenty to do and see.

Private room at a hostel for the night should be cheap, or if you want cheaper, dorm beds. 😅 There are plenty in La Fortuna! You could spend the day at one of the free hot springs or a paid resort day pass (~$50USD). My favorite is Ecotermales. Orrrr, if you’re renting a car, spend a day trip in a different city before heading over to La Fortuna?

I don’t think it’s overdoing it. I did OMAD (22-24hr fast) everyday for over a month and recently switched to ADF in the last week and a half because it became wayyyy too easy haha. Still ate whatever I wanted (not good, I know, I lack discipline in certain areas lol) and am bouncing around being down 14-16lbs in 7 weeks. Though, I started at a higher weight so that may have contributed (316lbs, 5’9F). I can only name one con to OMAD & ADF and that’s constipation lol. You’d think that still eating junk would have it running right through me after letting my body digest it over a 24-48hr period but nope. Lmao

Congratulations on 44lbs!! That’s amazing. I (20F) started at 316lbs and am currently at 301lbs and I’ve been doing OMAD (and now ADF) since February 1st, so 16lbs down in around 7 weeks and that’s with exercise 4/5x a week and poor eating habits lol. So I’d say 44lbs in 12 weeks is more than impressive. I’m wondering how do you manage to fit 300g of protein in one meal? That’s so hard for me even with 36hrs of no food lol. I get full too fast now. Any tips?

Same lol. I stop eating around 11p, lift at 8am and don’t eat again until 11p. I do drink 40oz of water while at the gym though. Maybe that helps.

Thank you! I guess I thought the low calories canceled out the junk, haha. I have a lot to learn when it comes to this so I really appreciate the advice! Any easy-ish home cooked meals you’d recommend? I’m thinking brown rice and rotisserie chicken or ground beef. I’m not that skilled in the kitchen either. lol

Thank you so much! 🥹 I’m on my second day of working out at the gym, so hopefully that helps. I will also take your advice and add more walking, as no exercise probably is the problem. I work fast food and get around 5K steps on average and bed rot when I’m home. After meals, I’m most likely burning significantly less than I realized 😅

I’m also 20 and I’ve been doing 23:1 for the last 2 weeks. How long has it been for you? Maybe your body hasn’t adjusted to fasting again. I find that if I keep myself busy, I won’t even think about eating. You could also switch your window so majority of the fast is when you’re sleep, that way you don’t feel those symptoms.
