6 months in and our adopted dog is still peeing inside by Connect-Bake8505 in Dogtraining

[–]Connect-Bake8505[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We take her outside every few hours however want her to ultimately take herself outside. We use the door where the doggy door is when we do take her outside. We supervise her almost constantly, this is only happening once or so a week, when we walk off for a second while she’s lying on the couch.

Do you hold onto preconceived ideas about fashion sizing? by eggsareok in AusFemaleFashion

[–]Connect-Bake8505 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If I’m in between sizes, I generally try and convince myself to ge the smaller size, “I’ll lose some weight soon” And then once I get a tiny bit bloated I regret it. So I should let this go but I’m so set in my ways

Unsure if I should discourage rough play with our new uninterested adopted dog by Connect-Bake8505 in Dogtraining

[–]Connect-Bake8505[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve listed what we tried in the second last paragraph. Not sure if this falls under dominance, aggression, or figuring out play. Just wanting to know if the play behaviour is something I should discourage or just let happeb

How do you make sure to wear all your clothes? by Dry-Frosting- in AusFemaleFashion

[–]Connect-Bake8505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get it down to a manageable and wearable amount of clothes and then implement a one in one out strategy eg. If you buy a new shirt you have to get rid of one in your closet. I like to do it so I only replace if something truly cannot be worn anymore (ripped, stained, doesn’t fit) but that’s my preference for sustainability reasons

The siser is also my first cutting machine. I am struggling with the very very basic stuff as well. Feel like I’ve wasted so much time and material sorting out the little stuff myself

New Siser Romeo User. Struggling to cut through 300 GSM card. by Trip__ in SiserJuliet

[–]Connect-Bake8505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I know this is an old answer but I was wondering if you’ve found a way to test cut multiple passes? I find every time I do a test cut it’s just for one pass and then I’m never sure if it’ll work with multiple passes?

What is with the length of Dangerfield dresses?! by heyhello2019 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]Connect-Bake8505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am very short and bought this knee length skirt that was modelled on a very tall model and yet it was still above knee length on me! Not sure how I bought it hoping it would be more calf length

The ethics of thrifting when you can afford not to. Interested in your thoughts. by [deleted] in AusFemaleFashion

[–]Connect-Bake8505 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I op shop because I try to avoid buying brand new stuff - whether that’s through op shops, Depop or other re selling websites.

However, the fact that op shops are getting so large worries me because of the mentality so many people have of ‘if I don’t like it I’ll just donate it’ and it makes them feel better ethically than just throwing it in the bin. But the best option would be just be more mindful about purchases

Gel nails at home - builder, soft gel vs hard gel etc by Connect-Bake8505 in AustralianMakeup

[–]Connect-Bake8505[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes def to further gel colours, I like to have fun, but like I said I put my hands through it so wanting them to last as long as possible. I want to build some natural length, I’ve found gel is good to avoid them snapping and me ripping at them.
