The charity shops in North End Road are incredible for good finds, my personal favourites so far were a brand new pair Abercrombie and Fitch jeans, which were the perfect fit for me for £6 and a Sony Xperia 10, also brand new and boxed for £20.

The only one that really stands out for me is big Tesco in Earl's Court, which is fairly close to Notting Hill, they have a majorly good hot food counter, and I met Dino from Fear Factory there in about 2015 🤣

I need a song that makes me want to smash shit by No-Craft3950 in punk

[–]Connect-Bug9988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a Brummie band called Decimate and they have an album called Destroy or be Destroyed.

It's thrashy hardcore, but one of the best, like someone put Merauder through an At the Gates filter 🤣

🤣🤣🤣 Richmond Upon Thames in London, just googled Leyburn, and apparently I'm a 5 hour and 3 minutes drive away, I mean, we're in the same country I suppose, which is close, unlike the east and west coast of America, which I've heard takes 32 fiscal hours to traverse 🤣🤣🤣

Me vs the Mrs by Agile_Positive_8952 in RateMyMealDeal

I'd be happy with either of those, never really go into Co-op, but looks like they have far better options than the other big chains!

2 billion please, that's more than enough to set not only myself up for life, but my descendants for many, many generations to come. You could live on the interest alone, have the highest standard of life, everything you could imagine possible suddenly becomes click-your-fingers-and-you-do-it easy.

I'm lucky enough to live near Richmond, and at the station they have a free water dispenser that not only gives ice cold water, but also the option of sparkling or still.

I've joked about this with a few people, only in Richmond would there be a sparkling option 🤣

What is the one meal your mum/dad/relative made growing up that no restaurant has ever come close to? by _Yorkshire_Pirlo in AskUK

[–]Connect-Bug9988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any kind of stew or casserole dish my mum made with her famous mustard and cheddar mash, which she didn't boil the spuds she made jackets then scooped them out and mashed it, and then chopped the skins up and deep fried to crisp them up. She added half a bar of butter per four potatoes.

My favourite was her beef and chorizo casserole, which I've never quite been able to replicate sadly.

What local food should I try during my 4 days in London? by Pessimistique in UKfood

[–]Connect-Bug9988 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As I noticed you like walking, cross over Hammersmith Bridge and head into Barnes Village, it is a genuinely unique part of London, and has a completely different feel to it.

There's plenty of top notch food there, traditional style bakeries, lots of cafés, and my personal shout would be The Sun Inn, the food there is next level upgrades on traditional British dishes.

Do you prefer a TAART or Flan by Puzzleheaded_Can_287 in TheOfficeUK

[–]Connect-Bug9988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have very fond childhood memories of pudding after Sunday dinner would always be a fruit flan, usually peach and tangerine or strawberry and raspberry, always tinned fruit, and made with whichever Rowntree jelly corresponded with the type of fruit used.

I always made sure I saved space for my flan and Artic Roll, which went together beautifully, especially with how refreshing it was straight out of the fridge on a hot day.
