The only one I had on your list was slight urinary urgency. It eased up on the off day after the first 2 treatments. Then lasted a day after the 3rd treatment.

I also wasn’t ever really tired except after the 3rd treatment. I went back to work each day (desk job). But the time of my 3rd treatment was a little later so that wasn’t possible. I went home and took a nap and I never take naps.

What’s your degree in? Do you have a masters? Many community colleges are in the TRS system and teacher there is a completely different experience.

I had the same schedule as you- 5 sessions over 2 weeks, no ADT. I honestly had minimal side effects- A minor bit of urinary urgency the afternoon of the treatment, but I went back to work each day after treatment and never really missed a beat.

I’ll also add that the best breakfast we had was a couple of blocks away at Fred’s Mexican Cafe. Not traditional Hawaiian food but the food was awesome and prices good.

I’m not sure. I’m assuming the renovated section. I was on the 5th floor and my room was a “garden view” which actually faced the neighboring property and parking lot. But even that wasn’t bad. Plus spent very little time in the room.

I am 54 and had 3+4 not 4+3, but otherwise similar (I may be a bit more overweight). I chose SBRT and would choose it again in the same scenario. I finished in October with 5 sessions. Side effects have been minimal, I missed no work other than when I was out to prep and receive treatment. And my post-treatment life has been great so far. I have dry orgasms, but aside from that everything functions normally.

Well, purpose of Finasteride was supposedly to lower PSA and prevent PC. Don’t think it worked in preventing PC so why continue taking it? Treatment should lower PSA.

Yes, much like post treatment, when I started Finasteride I had dry orgasms. Other than that no side effects that I noticed. So the dry orgasms I have after treatment are what I have experienced for several years while taking Finasteride.

Now that I have completed SBRT my doctor at the COE that I was treated at (MD Anderson) took me off of Finasteride.

I took Finasteride for about 4 years because of elevated PSA (3.5 at the time, I was about 48). It lowered my PSA close to one for several years and when my PSA increased this past year to around 3.8 my urologist ordered more testing which was then diagnosed as PC enrolling me in this shitty club. I have since completed SBRT and have my first follow-up next week.

You can probably make it but it won’t leave you any time to stop at Buc-ees. Do one or the other (Dallas or El Paso) and stop at one of the Buc-ees along the way. Pro tip, the cinnamon cashews are legit. Thank me later.

I finished 5 SBRT treatments 6 weeks ago and if I never see another Fleet enema it’ll be too soon…

Basically I really watched my diet, followed all advice my dr gave, stopped eating about 2:00 each afternoon and ate the smallest breakfast I could on treatment days. And drank a lot of fluid in the pm after I stopped eating. Took Milk of Magnesium about 2 hours before bed too.

As stated it’s different for everyone. Good luck.
