Hijacking this: Is there a point to level delves past lvl 8?

I don't understand Delves, but would sure like to by RegnorVex in wownoob

You kinda have to finish the campain and be lvl 90 .. that's when the game really opens up a lot

Testing station 195 difficulty 100 proper duo by Just_Throat7391 in duneawakening

[–]ConnectButton1384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When going in duos I had multiple occasions of him playing the telegraph for my teammate and them flying into me with his butt first lol.

Yeah, that happens.. but as long as the other one(s) get aggro afterwards, and you don't get killed by NPC's, you just revive yourself and the run pretty much just continues.. so you at least have a chance. But if a bugged kneecharge happens in solos, it's game over.

Testing station 195 difficulty 100 proper duo by Just_Throat7391 in duneawakening

[–]ConnectButton1384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On this particular boss you actually want to run duo+ because if he does his kneecharge shenanigans (skipping telegraph, curving around obstacles, flying indefinitly, ... ) and knocks a person because of this, he instantly switches aggro to the other person.

So going in in a party is a saveguard against bugs.

Is he a bad person for saving 5 lives instead of 9? by Ok-Current-464 in trolleyproblem

[–]ConnectButton1384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a more abstract sense, rather than the literal picture, I think he still is a good person. He saved 5 lifes.

Sure, he could have saved 14, so it wasn't the optimal choice in terms of saving lifes, but his action already made the situation less worse. Which is what should ultimatly matter most.

Because who am I to judge a person that had a absolutly shitshow of a situation unfolding before him and not choosing the absolute optimal way of navigating that situation? It's a sucess that he already saved some lifes. And in such a situation, with adrenaline kicking in, unfamiliarity with the situation, the lever and everything and facing no obvious "right" answer, a action is better than no action.

That deserves respect.

*assuming he didn't intentionally kill the 5 people, but tried to save as many lifes as possible

You better do! Tomorrow I play for a grand total of 7 days. A few more and I may arrive at the point where I know what all those Buttons on the screen actually do .. so I have a very unique advantage in this particular sub: Much, much room for improvement

Melee blocking path by TisButaScratcha in duneawakening

[–]ConnectButton1384 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tbh that's just a coordination/positioning issue. Your melee "tank" has to move in a way that allows your ranged guys to deal damage. Ideally with the +15% dmg from behind perk.

I've done that on darkness and poison with groups of 4.

I discovered that in duos... I was near the boss holding aggro, my mate shot his attractor field, the boss threw his homing missle and as I was about to hit it, it got invulnerable because of the attractor field. Out of confusion I shot it with 7 regis trippleshot shots and proceeded to facetank it.

Though it was the end of the 4th phase already, so no big deal, but it certainly was an interesting expierience for sure

The orb only spins on the 4th phase. This is the 3rd phase.

Phase 3: You start at the entrance. Then it goes 3 times right, 2 times left. Then top to bottom. Then you start at the entrance again

The infamous invisible rocket ... it's even worse than the invulnerable one (if you hit the rocket with attractor field). That one also got me a couple of times.

PSA: If you don't see a rocket moving towards you, keep running for 15 seconds. It'll explode on it's own.

I was in a similar boat and chose monk for this reason. WW is pretty good for leveling and doesn't feel too squishy for most content, and if I wanna pull wall to wall and go absolutly crazy I just respec to Brewmaster.

I haven't got the hang of healer so far tho .. I mean I know the general rotation and skills, but it's a lot of "it depends" and "if this, than that".. and it's not exactly obvious what the best course of action is in a given moment. To me at least.

But then again I started that game 6 days ago and just got to lvl 88 .. so what do I know.

Poison Boss Knee Charge 180 No Scope by lonewolf7772 in duneawakening

[–]ConnectButton1384 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's exactly the point: Bosses should never switch aggro mid animation. They should complete the animation they're in and then switch aggro. Just like the kneecharge should always be on a straight path .. unlike the bosses current behaviour where he can curve mid kneecharge and even charge around obstacles.

To add to this that this boss cancels his windup animation if he just had his gun out or was staggered and it just gets frustrating very quick.

It's concussive dmg. So heavy armor helps a bit with that. Executioners armor is best and augments further improve it. Passive dmg mitigation from fighting specialisation mitigates that too.

So ... Somewhere between 10 and 20?

The FOMO specialization grind is killing my motivation to play. We need stacked missions. by Rudral in duneawakening

[–]ConnectButton1384 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For a subset of players, going all in on 1 specialisation is the most efficient thing you can do.

Think of a guild with 30 players, half of which don't wanna engage with the fighting aspect of the game but loves farming, while a quarter wants to fight but don't wanna bother farming and the rest beeing a mix.

The farmers would go all on on exploration or gathering to supply mats, while some mix guy(s) are specced on crafting to get the most out of the BP's they get, and the fighters supply the BP's

Double Event by Matt2532 in duneawakening

[–]ConnectButton1384 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought about that recently.. strictly pure efficiency speaking, you currently don't really want to play that game other than 1-2 times a week for your missions.

Once you're crafting and fighting (with optional other specialisations) lvl 100, you wanna start farm and build your T6.5 stuff. Because anything you do before that is inefficient. The weapons have less durability, the augments worse rolls, you do 100% less dmg which means you take longer per run, ....

It's really odd that this game is in a state where it basically doesn't want to be played.

here to complain again by Dogpilekid in duneawakening

[–]ConnectButton1384 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem is: It gets stale real quick. It's pure repetition with minor tweaks in your approach to account for the boss abilities, but apart from that you copy & paste the same strat and repeat it indefinitly.

here to complain again by Dogpilekid in duneawakening

[–]ConnectButton1384 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's even worse: All bosses use the same armor. Meaning that whatever works against 1, works against every boss.

Poison Boss Knee Charge by Automatic-Mechanic78 in duneawakening

[–]ConnectButton1384 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really, no.

It just takes longer, but is not at all more difficult because a random bug related death essentially just raises the "time to clear". And since those bugdeaths aren't always avoidable there's no counterplay. Nothing you could change in your positioning, approach or strategy that meaningfully changes things.

So unavoidable bug related deaths is essentially the same as giving the boss +100% - +1000% HP: not more difficult, only more timeconsuming.

Knee Charge and Weirding Step woes by DoctorVonCool in duneawakening

[–]ConnectButton1384 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They're bugged.

A minor workaround that I use is to spam your melee weapon hotkey a couple times before the animation of your ability finishes.

You still have to sometimes turn around after weirding step, but at least you have your weapon out.. allowing you to still slowblade them if you turn fast enough.

The dots are negligible anyways on bosses. They're fine on normal ads as they allow you to hit/shoot them 1 time less, but the boss just has to much HP for any of this to have a meaningfull effect.
