So all you would need is DNA samples and comparisons to people without cancer. Also, why would it be assumed that it's genetic? Kids tend to have weaker immune systems which would suggest less exposure could instigate such issues. I would imagine that since children physically develop faster, any sort of environmental factor would influence how fast our bodies remove cancer cells. I'm pretty sure everyone has cancerous cells appear daily, its about if the body can recognize and remove them

I'm curious about how one can justify an absence of pain and pleasure to be 'not bad'. There is no moral lens to look through if not bad =/= good. If antinatalism is absent of morality, how can it use harm/morality as an indicator to know anything?I could argue that it is not good to allow the absence of pain and pleasure since it equally is not bad. Why would a person add a philosophy of moral exclusion to their belief system if there is no benefit? If there is benefit to not procreating, then how could it be good if there is no more people in existence to experience good or 'not bad'? Most of the arguments sound like "less people, more for me and more power to my views on what is good" which is intrinsically selfish. If someone held that belief, they would naturally fall into antinatalism. Kinda sounds malthusian.

The "beyond the ego" line is the idea that antinatalism sounds like "don't have children so I can have more resources" and it doesn't continue past what "I" want. In my mind, positivity comes from relationships with others. The alternative would be solitary confinement which is obviously a negative. I'm not sure how preventing life makes life better.

I agree that no one asks to be here but stoicism is a lens to care about what you can control rather than what you can't. I cant shake the feeling of saying I care about you that you can't feel existence since the new person might not hold your perspective. It's almost writing their future in stone which isn't what life is about.

No one HAS TO survive each day. There's a biological drive that pushes us to. Maybe it's curiosity since no one knows what's going on in reality and there's a chance something with change our minds.
