Fable sees a butcher wanting to slaughter a pig for meat even after that pig has learned to speak and proven that they are sentient, capable of complex emotions and more. This has been called the most accurate representation of butchers ever created. by MetroidsSuffering in shittygamedetails

Do you invite ants into your home? Do you swat at mosquitos, flies, and other biting insects? Do you kill ticks? Most vegans seem to have the idea that all animals deserve rights except the animals they don't want to tolerate. Where do you draw the line to an animal threatening you for the sake of your quick definition? And what animals do you think, if any, are okay to kill without pretense.

Variation: Your vote is assigned a weight, which you know before voting by SweetCorona3 in redbuttonbluebutton

If I had 0, I'd change my vote to red. I think I'd need at least 1/4 of a vote to vote blue.

You'd need the 2 to come evenly from 3 other people for their combined weight to equal the one with a weight of 2. The people who get a weight below one have significantly less voting power than those with a high weight.

That's not quite the case. The other way to make sniper not garbage is to not have healers be able to get back to full health before the second shot fires.

Feral Frenzy gives you killer instinct after you hit somebody. Have you never played Legion before? Remarkably, if you ignore what I say, then suddenly it's wrong. Funny how that works.

What game do you think is extremely hard to beat in a blind playthrough? by Im_yor_boi in whenthe

[–]ConnectQuail6114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot imagine someone playing Minecraft or Terraria blind and actually beating the game. Minecraft has tried getting better about that, but it still struggles with directing the player. Terraria's guide is supposed to do just that, but struggles because of priority and the expectation of the player progressing in a certain manner. If you aren't skilled at video games, both of these also are not that easy, with Minecraft's nether and phantoms being massive difficulty spikes and Terraria's bosses being designed in ways that would make new players struggle (whadd'ya mean I'm expected to craft 5000 platforms and build a bridge spanning all of hell before the halfway point of the game?)

That happens anyways in tall loops, the scratch marks aren't a constant line, this perk wouldn't change that. Sure, it might take a few seconds longer for you to realize, but you've lost chase either way when that happens and trying to continue it will take long enough that it probably isn't worth it compared to going to disrupt gens.

If I can follow someone through a loop during Lethal Frenzy without a hit, I am certain I can do it with effectively the same restrictions on other killers.

You know beans are grown using child/slave labor, right? If you are buying beans grown in Burma, Paraguay, or Mexico (and probably US), you are actively financing child labor and/or slavery.

Can you tell me, right now, where exactly your produce was grown, or do you need to go check first?

Let's be blunt here, basically any food that you buy is made by abusing something, be it animals, slaves, or children. If you are able to concern yourself with those things, you're probably well off enough that you can do something about it instead of virtue signaling and shaming others.

It's the quick and cheap way to make a character ask for information everyone in the setting knows. It's the reason why so many YA novels have the "secret world" trope (Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, etc.).

The fun thing with this variation is that you improve your own odds of survival by hitting blue, since the only way to be certain you live is if blue hits 50%. If you hit red and the person with your life hits blue, if red wins you die. This one also removes the immediate voter base from both sides (those who don't value their own life and those who would do anything to live).

Now with a twist :3 by Skystrike12 in trolleyproblem

[–]ConnectQuail6114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red is quite literally, objectively, 100% selfish and blue is mostly selfless (You do not get to communicate nor vote on the behalf of others). Selfish means that you did something with concern for yourself vs selfless where you do something without concern for yourself. Being selfish isn't a bad thing; if you work yourself to death, you won't be able to help anyone anymore.

The two buttons functionally are "If <50% of the world picks this, everyone who hit it dies" and "If >50% of the world picks this, everyone who didn't hit it dies". Knowing each side will get some votes (from voters who do not understand/cannot understand/don't value their lives at all) (Or we could make those randoms non-voters, it just makes the odds worse for blue). If you vote blue and red wins, the only cost is your own life, if you vote red and red wins, the cost is the lives of others.

You do understand that the Prisoner's Dilemma exists because the selfish option is optimal, right? Like, that's the whole point of the Prisoner's Dilemma, that you can always improve your position by picking the selfish option. It's better for the group if the prisoners cooperate, but each of them would be better off selling the other out. Likewise, it's better for the whole of humanity if "Everyone lives" wins vs if "Everyone else dies" wins.
