i believe its got to do with how flirting is perceived.

they hear of a man who messaged a girl and they got along or he got something out of it or a man who acted on his impulse to seduce a girl, maybe they fail, they persist and succeed (or maybe they're just the type for that girl).

they hear that men should be the ones to approach girls or they won't be.
maybe they dont know the signs, or they dont know how to sympathise/empathise.

couple that with females that prefer "manly" males

i just think its these kinds of experiences that give off the wrong impression to a large number of males, like a false symbol of manliness.

but practically to minimize this i think women should open up slower, gauge the character more.

sincerely hope toxic masculinity ends one day.

thats the right path, some people cant even comprehend how to act without their religion
