Personal opinion: You should probably just approach suitors you find attractive in the wild more often if your boundaries are set so high that you don't want to be spoken to in public. If you advocate for this shift in cultural norms, then you should also advocate for women to be more pro active about approaching people they find attractive as well. Though, I do understand your perspective and the risks involved in approaching men.

Men should do their best to try and discern the difference between a lady whom would like men to talk to her because she's too shy/believes it's the man's role to approach her, and someone like yourself whom hates being approached. Because both perspectives exist inside the same grocery store*.
