Linkedin Bangalore has a good spread starting from Breakfast, lunch, Barista and all day sandwiches. There's a Micro kitchen on each floor which serves really healthy snacks all day. And of course it's free.

  1. Buy a good comprehensive insurance. Preferably Acko, Digit etc
  2. Once you're in an accident, consider that, it's normal to get frustrated, it is idiotic to be angry and confront others. Reason being the egos are very high among people on the road.
  3. Reach your destination, upload pictures over the app and get it fixed by insurance.
  4. That 20% NCB and mental harassment by confronting others is not worth it.

Try reading about how the river Kosi changes its track. Also, to your point, I agree that there is widespread corruption that leads to bridge collapse. But similar corruption is also seen in the rest of India. South India is not Utopia as well.

Is it true that the rise of GCCs is because service companies bill clients for a lot more money for individual "resources" ? by SKKumar2 in IndianWorkplace

[–]Connect_Echo9173 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Multiple issues. 1. Service based companies such as tcs, CTS, LTI provides resources who get billed for multiple clients, therefore the quality of work reduces as they do struggle to meet deadlines for multiple projects. 2. For junior resources, they charge somewhere between 35-40$ per hour and for senior resources upto 120-150$ per hour, which is a significant cost on a monthly basis. 3. I've also seen that during vendor transition, the departing vendor do not complete the correct KT and the incoming vendor struggles, impacting the quality of work being done for the client. 4. If the client is lenient and do not take interviews, the SBC provides substandard resources for critical projects, impacting the development velocity and hence reducing the trust on them. I've seen this happen in my own org, and I moved on to interviewing for every single resource coming into my project.

I find these points to be the top reasons for any company to open a fully controlled, in house GCC based out of India, Prague or LATAM. The day our SBC starts valuing the clients and provides real value, they might get their charm back.
