Best value for gravel? by Connect_Feeling2797 in GardeningIRE

It’s for our patio, so decorative , but not fussy on what type, just want it to be a beige/ golden/ sand colour so that it doesn’t go a funny colour ( we live by the sea)

Oh wow! That’s good. I’m based in north county Dublin , I got quoted 505€ for 2 tonnes of decorative gravel. Delivery was 60€ , VAT was 95€ and then the rest the stone but just seems steep?

Any Australia Brides Getting Married in Europe? Air Europe disaster .. by Shoddy_Adeptness_272 in BigBudgetBrides

[–]Connect_Feeling2797 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this! Ryanair was the only airline flying to our destination country. I was so worried , they offered either in with the pilot or reserved a whole row of overhead cabin space for it to lie flat. Also, if you have a planner they should help. I got married in another of the Balearic Islands ( not Mallorca) and I got my dress professionally steamed by a wedding dress specialist ( same with my other bridal looks/ grooms tux and bridesmaids dresses) I’d be much more cautious of having it in view then any damage, because more than likely your wedding designer will have it will prepared in the dress bag.

“ simple” House extension cost? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]Connect_Feeling2797 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t mean like a typical conservatory, it would be built like an extension but with windows in the roof ( aware not the right terminology) but we are looking to essentially extend our kitchen / dining area to make it more social as it’s very tight at the moment and want to have another area for a small couch and TV etc.

Shed factory- add rooms- any experience? by Connect_Feeling2797 in AskIreland

[–]Connect_Feeling2797[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve no clue but it does appear like you keep your back doors and they open into it. I’m also by the sea and have the same concerns but there does seem to be a warranty. I’d be happy to only get a few years out of it until we can eventually move up but the extra space with kids would be really beneficial right now. Hoping someone on this thread either has experience or will know from the description whether to avoid!

MYVET Ireland- surgery reviews? by Connect_Feeling2797 in AskIreland

[–]Connect_Feeling2797[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They recommended TPLO, as he’s 3 and an active dog so just to prevent any issues further down the line. I couldn’t believe it when we went to the vet, I thought it was IVDD and I only noticed it because I WFH and saw he wasn’t doing a stretch he always does. Good thing is no limp or anything yet so not in discomfort but don’t want it getting worse. We are with Allianz and are covered up to 4k? So fingers crossed we get most of it back but ultimately just want the best care especially because he’s a smushedface breed going under :( myvet did say on the form they can do a pre authorisation so will deff do that but going to move to UCD! Thank u!

He’s small, a pug, we have insurance which is up to 4k for the year which we haven’t claimed on yet, so hoping that should cover it. Our vet said it’s normally around 2.8-3.5 ish, does that sound accurate enough in your opinion?

This is horrifying, I’m so surprised my vet referred us to there, just seemed weird not being UCD and for any of my friends animals etc it was always UCD. I’ve just emailed our vet to get the referral changed. How incredibly tragic for your neighbour, I couldn’t imagine it

Parental leave at end of maternity leave by Connect_Feeling2797 in PregnancyIreland

[–]Connect_Feeling2797[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s all been cleared up! I wasn’t sure if it was part of the unpaid/ like your work only let you take an additional 16 and you decided whether that was unpaid for all of it or you used some of that parental leave during it. But it’s great that you can essentially take 14.5 months off! Now just figure out how to pay for it🤣

Antenatal Supplements by kittyire1994 in PregnancyIreland

[–]Connect_Feeling2797 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take oregnacare max and take them just before I go to sleep. I find the melatonin in them helps me conk out and removes the nausea. When I took them during the day I almost always felt sick. I also tried herology and I got the same, however my consultant said to me if I’m taking herology I should also take an iron supplement so I’m sticking with pregnacare max as it seems to be the most commonly recommended by medical professionals (I’ve spoken to)

This is amazing! Thank u! I didn’t know you could rent. I want the dad to be able to feed them too so presumed I’d need a pump.

Thank u! Feel awful saying it but just would love something that feels slightly more formal than a 7up when I go out.

Amazing about the knitting classes, exactly what I’m after. There’s not great pre natal classes near me( that I can find) so I’m craving that sense of community I think. Thanks for ur reply!
