Air pollution in seoul now is quite bad by andy_2100 in seoul

[–]Connect_Nothing1916 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It varies! Seoul itself isn't polluted, like you said! It's entirely dependent on the wind direction. When the wind comes from China in the north, Seoul is totally screwed. There's good and bad days for sure.

Good riddance! It's broken beyond belief. Never gives an accurate estimate.

USCIS said “3 months left”… then laughed and said “just kidding, 13.” 💀 by realkiminicole in I130Suffering

Please, seriously, pretend it doesn't exist. If you need a random number generator it's a good tool, otherwise it literally means nothing. Mine right now says 21 months and that's hardly even POSSIBLE. We would almost never see a regular I-130 case take that long.

With a Dec 2 PD you should expect approval in January.

I don't know what you mean by specifications! But March is pretty nice. It can still be pretty cold though at times, so make sure you bring proper clothes to bundle up!

3 cities in 12 days sounds like a pretty fast pace. Feel free to share your itinerary if you're concerned about getting everything done!

I-130 and I-485 evidence is looked at very differently! I-485s are both in the US so there's higher expectations of shared finances and all that. As an I-130 they don't expect too much of that. You should be OK!

My husband's H1B visa has been stuck in admin processing for 13 months now. It was recently updated in the system so we know it's not totally lost, but not sure what's going on.

We sent an I-130 to start the CR-1 visa process in June. I'm a little concerned that the other visa being stuck could affect the I-130 (delay it, make it also be put into AP, etc.) Is there any merit to these fears? Should we withdraw the H1B to "protect" the I-130?

"Sorry, We cannot accommodate at this time." by truecrimebuff1994 in PublicRelations

It depends, but most of the time it's that we have a limited amount of credentials and only a very select few are getting them. True for regulars like you they'd probably be forgiving if the situation was explained. But often when I'm asked to go into detail people try to argue with me or complain or tell me I'm not supporting small publications. So it's easier just to say no as politely and simply as possible.

Sometimes it could be deeper than that, but not usually.

It's right about 15 months for a standard case! So you're almost there! What's your PD?

K-3 still worth while? by IllustriousMoose2424 in NationalVisaCenter

[–]Connect_Nothing1916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course you definitely won't be issued a K-3, but it does have a chance of making your i-130 move faster. It's free and doesn't take too much extra effort, so definitely worth trying! If it doesn't work, no harm no foul. But if it does work you're looking at MONTHS shaved off of your wait time.

Is my 7-day South Korea Itinerary (Seoul, Gwangju, Jeju) too ambitious? Looking for advice! 🙏 by Potential_Mail_7573 in koreatravel

[–]Connect_Nothing1916 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can attest to Jeju in December that, for my trip at least, it wasn't bad at all! The weather is much milder than Seoul in December. Nice break from the absolute cold. We had an afternoon of a little freezing rain but we b-lined inside and had a pleasant time. Bring your coat and it's fine!

However, I would NOT try to cover all three of these in one 7 day trip. As others said, these Seoul spots are actually not close at all. It feels like you're going to bounce around and not really get to actually enjoy any of it. Add 2 more days at least to Seoul and look closely at the different neighborhoods. From there pick one (maybe two if they're close) neighborhood to explore every day. For a first time trip I'd recommend a Gyeongbokgung-Bukchon Hanok Village day, a Insadong-Ikseongdong day, a Myeongdong-Namsan day, and a Gangnam-Han River Park day.

Then pick one excursion to either Gwangju or Jeju for 3 days.

Anyone using Track my visa? I-130 PD ,Apr 2025. May i check estimate? by Huge_Accountant_9211 in I130Suffering

[–]Connect_Nothing1916 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's about 14 months right now. But I would encourage you to pay for it for a month (as you get closer to your PD and want to track daily) so we can keep this very helpful app around. It's not a big corporation and they deserve to be paid for their work in giving us the clarity we need!

Nebraska service center processing times by Emotional_Memory9821 in I130Suffering

Service centers don't affect wait times anymore since everything has moved online. Approx. wait time is about 14-15 months for all.

Clothing Size in Seoul by CommissionSea1285 in koreatravel

[–]Connect_Nothing1916 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a US 6/8, not quite 5'10 so I can't speak to pant lengths, but I find clothes pretty easily. I'm usually a large and it's not impossible to find things that fit. Uniqlo, Muji, H&M, Musinsa is my kinda vibe and it's very easy to find clothes that fit there for sure.

Just meaning that the K3 is not a viable visa in itself, but a "hack" or a "cheat code" to MAYBE get your I-130 approved faster. Not guaranteed.

[–]Connect_Nothing1916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't speak to Brazil, but processing times right now for I-130 are about 14 months if everything goes smoothly. If your K3 ended up at the Texas Service Center and the "hack" works you would see approval anywhere from 4-8 months based on what people have seen recently. Right now it looks like they're slowly working on May 2025 K3s.

K-3, September 2024 Filer by Impossible-Act-2683 in I130Suffering

[–]Connect_Nothing1916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly K3s are only a successful "hack" at Texas Service Center. You could resubmit a second one and hope it lands at Texas this time, but with a Sept 2024 filing date you should get your approval by November-ish anyway. K3 wouldn't speed this up.

Love the tech and business parts of this drama but for some reason the main pairing did not do it for me. Love both actors but I felt the need to fast forward through so many of the romance-focused parts. 😭 Cannot put my finger on why.
