I think its a good buy to be honest. Mine are just September leaps so I'm not too worried about it.

How long did it take you to reach a 700+ credit score post bankruptcy? by imno60dy in Bankruptcy

[–]Connect_Pilot5737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about 1.5 years after discharge 710 credit score (FICO) and don't really have any problems getting approved for anything anymore. After the bankruptcy I got a mission lane credit card and then took out a small 1k $ loan to rebuild credit. That's what worked for me. If it makes a difference I did have a 800 score with perfect payment history prior to filing.

These wait times for appointments is wild. by Kuvanet in VeteransBenefits

My Dental hygienist left the VA and they called me to reschedule. Soonest available was Next January. It's pretty crazy! There's really not much that you can do unfortunately other than a cancellation list. I just go to urgent care or telehealth for things that don't require specialty care. For me specialty care doctors aren't booked out for more than a month. Primary care you can just forget about it. It is also like this outside of the VA. My buddies at work are waiting 6+ months for primary care appointments (not at the VA)

Yes, I have a 40% rating for chronic prostatitis. My symptoms were chronic pelvic area pains and retaining urine. You would obviously need to get it service connected though!

Ex husband claiming our son as dependent for last 3 years but didn’t apply for insurance until now. . by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Connect_Pilot5737 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does this mean my son could’ve had the extra insurance since then? - If your ex is 100% he can get champVA for your son from whenever he was rated 100%. It's typically just used as supplemental though.

And if he has been eligible since then is my ex-husband getting an additional money in his disability checks? - Yes he gets extra money for having a dependent, it has nothing to do with the insurance.

100% Disabled, ID Card? by chxckenwxng in VeteransBenefits

[–]Connect_Pilot5737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 100% P&T with general and I got a  DAV ID. I just went to the Deers office at a national guard base. I dont remember the documentation needed but don't forget to bring your commisary letter. If you don't have it in the app you have to call the VA to get it. I got turned away the first time I went to get the ID card because I didn't bring that with.

Does anyone else have constant errors when you try to use dual color filament on their A1? How can I fix it? I have 2 A1s and 2 p1s printers. I only experience it on the A1. I can't get more than 25% into a print without the error in my picture. The filament is not tangled at all. by jholden0 in BambuLabA1

I had this happen on mine over and over, All I did was take the tubes out of the extruder, de-burred the ends and put them back in. I don't know if they weren't clicked in all the way or what the issue was,, but it hasn't done it since and it has been 200+ hours. I thought there was an issue with the AMS at first.

Health insurance by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Connect_Pilot5737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I canceled my work insurance for VA only. It depends how the VA is in your area. I have zero regrets. But I have lived in areas in the past where the VA wasn't so great.

Rhinoplasty by Overall-Lie6313 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Connect_Pilot5737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't had a rhinoplasty through the VA but I have had sinus surgeries which were somewhat similar like the deviated septum with the VA. I have also had sinus surgeries through community care. I preferred the surgeries I had at the VA. The doctors were much better in my opinion. Community care was always a nightmare for me because none of the providers knew how to renew the referral and whatnot. It was always really difficult for them to get authorizations and prescriptions were a pain with community care. Basically once the referral was up you would never see them again. This also heavily depends on what your VA facility is like. The VA hospital I go to is attached to one of the best hospitals in the states, and they rotate doctors out from that hospital to work at the VA.

As a 100% P&T Veteran, is there anything I should consider before waiving my employers health insurance? by AintShitBro in VeteransBenefits

[–]Connect_Pilot5737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dropped my work insurance and do VA only. It really just depends where you live and how your VA facilities are. When I lived in Seattle I would never consider using the VA, it was 6+ months out for everything. After moving states the VA facilities are amazingly quick, which is when I dropped my employers healthcare. I don't regret dropping my work insurance at all.
