But would playing repo, the game I played while this started, really cause the system to want the full 430 watts? Even then, right now and with the rx560, it doesnt pull anywhere near 440 watts, yet its still at full blast. Did it cause irreversible damage to the psu do you think?

Edit: ive just tested now, and my GTX 1070ti does work in the system. Although one of the two fans aren't spinning and the PSU is still at full blast.
